They asked you to find laboratory in them list that will make your drug test and give you results within 48 hours. First: the working hours in them list are wrong, Second: they didn't send you to laboratory, they send you to clinic that colect your urine and after that clinic send it to the laboratory. Every clinic said that they cannot be sure, it is up to laboratory when the result will be ready. If you want to change clinic that you choose first because you see in them website that it will work in Friday till 4 PM but that clinic works till 12 in Friday and from clinic said that they cannot help you within 24 hours in Monday to receive you results, they will keep you around 1 hour on the phone (on hold) or they will try to close and call you after because they cannot find who can help you. Of course them English is not native and this is very big challenge for not native English speakers. 1 year before they wasted few days to add my second name for background check. It take to many days and hours on the phone with different people to fix that issue because my employer provided only 2 names. Again how someone that is not laboratory takes money to perform urine drug tests and ask the poorest people to obtain results within 48 hours? For test that is $3 - $10, I was driving 53 + 51 miles today with to many slow downs because road works, to understand in the clinic that my test may be will not be ready in Monday. If you want to be nice employer don't use them for drug test!

Unresponsive company. Non of the team are coordinated, it seems the email you send no one reads them. They don’t even let you know at the end if you passed the background check or not. The anxiety they caused is big. You call customer support and they don’t have answers for you. Really bad company. Worst experience doing background check ever

My telephone call experience with the staff member was excellent. I do not recall his name, but he was polite, he was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. I cannot do a review beyond that because I have yet to hear from the job at Morgan Olson, where I applied. Thank you.

The Representative conducted the call in a very professional matter and answered all questions with detail and complete instructions and how the background was conducted.

This is my first experience with Sterling. WOW. I had my fingerprints done back in early May 2022 in hopes to start a summer job at the beginning of July. It is now three months later on August 11th 2022. Still no sign of my check being done. I called them twice and they said both times that it could take from 6-8 weeks. In that case, my background check should have been done by mid to late June at the latest. This delay has been 12 weeks (3 months) so far. The summer is now over and so is my job opportunity! No wonder our economy is suffering from a staffing shortage. I can't even get my background check done in reasonable time to get a job! Thank you (and I'm sorry) tax payers for my Government assistance (unemployment) money! I did try to do the right thing. Please don't call me lazy. It's not my fault.

If you are looking for a background check company or a new one, LOOK ELSEWHERE. Customer service was great when I started at my job. I understand (being in HR myself) that hiring and staffing is miserable right now. But my experience with this company went completely down hill. -I have waited for a background check for 2 months+ -Our layout of the website changed as well as the background check process (W/O NOTICE) -Seems that the "Client Experience Portal" was not thought through or tested enough from the client and employee POV. Definitely not a "Client Experience" -Sterling has many bug and technical issues on their site that need/needed attention during my time as a client With staffing being as difficult as it is, we need a quick turnaround for background checks. When I first started at my company, I would get checks back in less than 1 HOUR! Now I am on anywhere between 1 day, 2 weeks, a month or more. I am not one to normally write reviews as I know from a business standpoint, it can be hurtful, but Sterling has hurt our business in the process of their "transition" (and even before) as we have lost candidates due to the delay and lack of communication from them. 3 stars because my 7 months out of the 1 year with this company was relatively positive.

I can't start work Monday. Once again, Sterling doesn't do background checks. They make you provide the information. Such as IRS transcripts. High school diploma, which is taking a while. They collect consumer information. They DO NOT verify anything. They are data mining under the pretext of a background check.
