Absolutely a rip-off. On Sep 15 2019 in Boston area I booked 1 hour. I was charged $102 and then I waited for 2 hours and multiple reschedules and in the end I didn’t receive any service. I called them to cancel and they said I’ll still be charged $102 even though I didn’t receive any service. So I wasted 2 hours received no service and they charged me $102. The spa nearby had a professional massage for $60. What a ripoff. Stay away.

‪We booked a couple’s massage a MONTH ago. One of the therapists is a last-minute no-show & the other doesn’t want to do it outside under the shaded cabana by the pool. So instead of a resort-like experience we’ll be getting separate massages in the kitchen. What a complete waste of time and $$‬. Never again.

I love the idea of Soothe and, despite a few bad experiences, was open to giving them a chance. But then I discovered that it is almost impossible to cancel my membership and now think they are an absolute scam. I first tried through the chat app and got ghosted several times once I connected with someone and mentioned I wanted to cancel my subscription. I then emailed and got a response back saying that they could do it. I was not asked for further information, so I assumed my subscription had been successfully canceled. A couple months later, I discovered I had been getting credit card charges for the last couple of months. I then called to cancel. After a 40-minute hold and an entire discussion with the phone operator during which I said multiple times I would like to cancel my account (and the person seemed to acknowledge my desires), I was about to hang up when I said, "Just to confirm: my account is canceled, right?" The response was, "Oh, let me go ahead and GET THAT STARTED RIGHT NOW." They also refused to refund me for the two extra months, even acknowledging that the email exchange did suggest that I needed no further action to cancel my account. Before this last sequence of events, I might have given them the benefit of the doubt, but I am now convinced they make their money by tricking people into not canceling their memberships. STAY AWAY WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!

Soothe is a complete scam like Wells Fargo. I used to be a need-based Soothe user since 2015 (using it 2-3 times a year during my travels). A few months ago, Soothe managed to cleverly sneak in a monthly subscription in fine print without notifying me of anything in the email or regular mail. TO my horror, I realized 5 months later that Soothe had been charging me 121.60 since March (the scam was going on for months), until I got my credit card involved to dispute the charges. Why should Soothe charge you when you are not receiving any services. Now Soothe is refusing to refund stating that they had notified me all along and that the policy was to charge monthly regardless of if I used their service or not. Even going to a loan shark for a loan might get you better service. This is likely to go to a lawsuit at some point. At a minimum, I won't be surprised if Consumer Protection Bureau gets involved. Whatever happens, AVOID SOOTHE AT ALL COST. They provide no value for money and you are better off arranging for your massage therapy through individuals after checking their review. SIMPLY AVOID SOOTHE and BE WATCHTFUL OF YOUR CREDIT CARD AND DONT GET TRICKED INTO PAYING THEM MONTHLY FOR SERVICES YOU ARE NOT TAKING

Absolute scam just like others have said. One massage -was charged for an entire year. (Charged 135 per month. Purposely deceitful and confusing during the booking process In hopes people will select the wrong button or “change” your selection.

My husband got me a subscription as an anniversary present and it turned into an incredibly frustrating experience. I submitted my request for a massage, got a confirmation and planned on getting my massage a few days later at my scheduled time only to get a call 3 minutes after it was supposed to start (and I had wasted me time preparing the room so there would be space for a table).They said they couldn’t find a female therapist and I could get it later or use a male. Only later in the conversation did she say they don’t have many providers in my location. They didn’t share that piece of info before taking our money! I asked since they don’t have providers for them to refund our membership money and they refused. So, not only was their communication unprofessional by waiting until after the time to contact me, but I have credits I probably won’t ever be able to use because they weren’t honest about being able to provide service in our area!

Save your money and head aches. Do not use this company. Used the service once, and therapist was not good. Have not used the service since but they have charged my card $120, 6 times over!!! I called the customer service, and the best answer they can give me was: “sorry, this is your subscription fee” $700 overcharged me for a crappy massage. I asked to speak to a supervisor and this customer service rep hung up on me. Absolutely terrible. The worst service I have ever, ever experienced. STAY AWAY.

My therapist ILONA arrived at my massage appointment with no oil, no music, and no linens, even though on the welcome email it clearly states that the therapist will provide a table, oil, music and linens. So basically she just managed to show up with a table 😂 We could not proceed with the massage because she didn’t bring ANY supplies and blamed me for it saying “I’ve never had this problem before! This is your first time with us?” As if me using the service for the first time was the problem, rather than her incompetent. On top of that she put her dirty iPhone on my silk blouse which I will now have to pay to dry clean. I messaged customer service. NO REPLY. I have told all my friends about this and rated them one star on the App Store. I WANT A FULL REFUND.
