Response from SongtrustApr 17, 2026
¡Agradecemos tus comentarios mientras seguimos mejorando nuestras herramientas!

Not for roots music
I like that playlists can give direct feedback, but I don't think this service has enough reach to see real ROI for roots music artists. We're working with a blues/funk/soul (like Muscle Shoals and Stax) band. The album just charted on Billboard Top 10 for Blues, but most feedback on Songtrust is from folks who program more modern music (probably a younger audience). This is my second time trying Songtrust, but I'm not going to use this service for blues/soul artists moving forward.
Response from SongtrustApr 17, 2026
Congratulations to your band on charting in the Billboard Top 10 for Blues, Jennifer! That is a massive achievement. It sounds like there might be a slight misunderstanding regarding how Songtrust functions compared to a playlisting platform. We are a global publishing administrator, which means that we track and collect publishing royalties from around the world, regardless of genre. We don't allow curators to provide creative feedback like playlisting services. Rather, we ensure that when your tracks are played, you get paid. If you were receiving feedback from a younger audience, it may have been through a different promotional service, as Songtrust focuses solely on publishing administration. We’d love to help you ensure those Billboard-charting hits are collecting every cent they deserve. If you have any other concerns, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].
