DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM especially through AIRBnB. There are all sorts of scammy, fishy things when you book with them through AirBnB. They won't communicate with you through the chat and just want you to contact them via phone. Their check in process involved me scanning my face, which I found to be a total breach of privacy and objected to. They did not advertise on their post that you had to do this. AirBnB support said I did not have to scan my face. Sonder told me they don't have to follow the AirBnB rules?! I canceled my stay because Sonder seemed so sketchy and I'm glad I did based on these reviews.

We booked a Sonder apartment through Airbnb for Memorial Day weekend in Chicago. First, there was a discrepancy of the address from what we received through Airbnb and what was listed through the Sonder app (you have to have their app to get your check-in details even when booking through Airbnb). I chatted with Hilda from Sonder and she informed me that the address provided from Sonder was the correct address. This was on Wednesday, we were to check-in on Friday. She did not indicate that there was any issue with the property. Then at approximately 10:00 pm Wednesday night, less than 48 hours before check-in, they sent a message stating that they canceled our stay, they didn't have anything else available, and they would not be able to assist us. So less than 48 hours before our planned holiday weekend we were left without lodging accommodations. After doing some research, I see this has happened to other people as well. My recommendation is to avoid booking with Sonder.

DO NOT BOOK with these people. I have been on the phone for two hours and cannot still get a code to get into our bnb. They are a bog corporation who hire poor people in the Phillipines to deal with their problems

Sonder opened up short term lets in the middle of my residential block of flats. Breaking local planning legislation! It was shut down by the local sheriff so the people staying there were moved out! Imagine this happening in the middle of your holiday. They said they didn't realise they were breaking planning legislation...even though they had been told by the local council they needed to apply for planning permission. So either they are a company who are really not on the ball when it comes to legal matters or they just disregard it. Either way not great. I would never stay in one of their properties

We booked a place to stay in Rome though The Plum Guide. The host was Sonder. Less than 48 hours before we received an email that our accommodation was cancelled.they kept the money. We are trying to retrieve it. This seems to be part of a larger scam they are running. This was going to be my first holiday since before the pandemic. I am very sad now.

This organization seems great but their lack of flexibility was the cause of my horrible experience. Id like to think that I'm a planner, so when I tried to book an early check-in, I had to go through hoops. Three phone calls, 1 in app chat and yet nothing. No email confirmation of reasons for none approval. I am disappointed and sold and previous stocks I had. This was by far the worst experience I have had.

GUEST BEWARE!!!!! Pictures look great, vibe is cool, but the Orlando Welborn group has some big issues! First of all minimal amenities and looks quite different then the pretty pictures on the site. However once you understand the place is old and know what to expect , the location and total vibe there make it OK. However first walking in we Had two big cockroaches in our room. The place needs some updating to make it "feel more clean! Second Horrible parking and inconcstancy with their parking pass requirement Policy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They allow guest who come to the restaruant but who are NOT staying at the hotel park in the spots that are marked for guest only and suppose to have a pass park in "payed guests" spots with out consequences forcing "paying guests" of the hotel to park quite far away from the hotel. I parked in an area on the Sonder property that stated only "parking pass required" near the building I was in since I could not find a spot near my building and did not want to walk by myself in the dark from blocks away. The parking spots were full of mostly cars that had no parking pass. The next morning my car had been towed from the property. When I called I was told each building though all a Sonder properties have different passes. Its in the small print on the app. So read all the details!!!!! Yet all the other folks "with out passes" took our spots (I took mulitiple pictures the next evening when I returned of many cars parking in guest only parking spots and whom never got towed). After driving around the parking area for 20 minutes someone "with out" a pass finally moved out of the designated spots for guests! Inconsitant policies make for BAD BAD customer service. If you require a pass..then hold ALL the folks who dont have one accountable too! On a good note your customer service staff is amazing. Our airconditioner broke the first night and they were able to compensate us and get it fixed right away the next day. Rough night sleeping though on a hot Florida night though..The over all stay was quite disappointing since a small gesture of a 2 hour late check out was all they offered. ;-( I've been in the hotel business and love experiencing these type of venues! I'm dissappointed because this could be a great place to stay if there were not so many disappointing issues and frustrations.

The room was dirty and dark. Also, it had a funny smell could not recognize the scent until we smelled the mattress which smelled like cigarette smoke. We are not smokers, and we are being charged over $250.00 for room damages. This place was not the best nor was the room pictures, which online reflected a different atmosphere. I would not pick this property for a stay away!!
