The cabin itself was beautiful. But upon entering the cabin the carpets need redone, dirt, snags they just looked gross!. The lenoileium in the kitchen and bathrooms where also distasteful. You felt like you needed to walk around in socks. You pay all this money for it to be cleaned. And I can tell you that it diffently needed more TLC. There was a dirty plate left on top of the microwave. Two toothpicks on the floor in the bathroom which only indicated to me that floors were not cleaned. I think they must have whipped down the mirror with a towel because they where very smeared. I also wrote high on one so if they didn't clean it than the next person to rent this cabin would Aldo clean it. I also think they could have a decent skillet in the place, and maybe a real dish towel to clean the dishes instead of a bathroom towel, and maybe some pot holders. Oh and also the chair in the living room needs fixed I sat on it and fell to the floor because one of the front legs was not attached. And that pretty much sums it up.

During the research and reservation process, my computer froze and it appeared that my reservation did not go through. After resolving the technical difficulties of my own equipment, I went back online and the cabin appeared to be reserved, so I resumed looking for an alternative, selected and reserved it. When I awoke the next morning - I had two reservations in my email! YIKES. Called immedately and the problem was resolved within minutes!

Telling someone 23 day before the start their vac that the home owner has sold their cabin you have rented and they have no more pet friendly cabins. would not use this company poor way to run a business. They didn't offer to help find another cabin and had booked cabin 30 days earlier.

Fast easy reservations. Site is very informative and pricing is fantastic. The reservation isn't until August 29th thru September 2nd, so I feel this opinion is premature.

we have rented from Colonial Properties a couple times - great customer service and amenities.

This will be our second time booking with them and we cannot be more excited. Besides the beautiful cabins, they are very easy and pleasant to work with.

We were told we had to wait til Jan. To book for May 2017 to receive discounts but we already chose the 6 days that would work for us & the cabin that we think will suit us. I would like to think you would apply a discount simply because we have taken the time to plan and book with your company for our chosen vacation stay for 2017! The fact that we have to wait and chance not getting what we planned is absurd and your company should think about that and maybe make changes to that.

Me and my family stayed 5 nights at Elk Lodge. I don't even know where to start, I have to say this is definitely the worst cabin/worst rental agency we have ever stayed with. Being our 1st ever family reunion made it even worse. This cabin was just plain filthy, from excess pet hair all over the floor to the furniture, rugs to broken blinds, halfway falling apart furniture and dirty linen... I am not one to ever complain but this was just unacceptable. So I call to tell management and they sent the housekeeping crew out. The housekeeping crew was complaining about the management staff and how little they get paid and they don’t have enough time to clean everything.. "Saying management only pays them extra if the clients complains and they have to come back out". From the refrigerator not working to half way broken charcoal grills to the hot tub not working.. No follow up calls to make sure everything was working and fine. 5 days we stayed there and did I mention you have to haul off your own trash if you somehow overfill their 2 small containers.. Think about it, 5 bdrm, 5 bath.. room for 16 and 2 small trash bins (4-13 gallon bags would fill that) Oh and I found out about that the hard way, calling in again and being told they would send someone out to pick it up only to receive a voice mail that I would have to haul it myself, 30 minutes later. We made the best of our family reunion and had a great time in Tennessee but we will not be staying with this company again. If this one is this bad, I could only imagine the others..
