I like the product but it's just too tall. 30 inches would be sufficient and 60 inches wide would be better.

Hi—thank you for your feedback and we will pass the information along to our Research and Development Department. As far as the length, the 72-inch safety gate only extends as far as it is needed. So, it can easily fit within a 60-inch opening and be locked into place. This allows for those with extra wide openings to be able to use the Retract-A-Gate also. This is a solid product- but didn't work for us. We have it mounted flush to the floor and our dog (about 40 lbs/ medium) just slides right under- so it is not useful for us. At this cost this was disappointing. It is visually unobtrusive and wish it had worked! It reaches across our wide doorway and is not hard to operate.

We love our gate. We have two small dogs and have the gate at the top of our stairs. It works great with one exception, our mischievous, strong willed 4 year old Yorkie figured out how to crawl under it. 🤦🏼♀️ I do however give it 5 stars.

Great product. I bought it to keep my former outdoor cat from getting out after an amputation and it has worked great. I think she could jump it if she wanted to, but it keeps her from running out at our feet. I love how low profile it is when it’s not in use as well.
