We paid for a ticket following a delay accessing the machine (helping a pensioner negotiate a payment). We were then slightly delayed having assisted a person who fell during our walk. We left the carpark within a few minutes of the end of our parking period. £60. Appeal rejected. Be aware that they time you from the moment you enter the carpark to the moment you leave - not from the point you buy the ticket or move the vehicle. If you are going to be a minute over your 'paid for period' you might as well not bother paying at all as any money you have paid in good faith is not deducted from their rediculous penalty charges.

Drivers please be very aware (even if you are an over 70’s pensioner) that if you make a mistake entering your car registration number when entering it at the time of parking (even if you then have dinner with family during the parking period) you WILL be fined £60 off the bat with no mitigation considered whatsoever. I haven’t seen their company accounts to date but they must be quite desperate to send heavy fines to people who think they have played by the rules with good intent then end up paying a heavy fine. Quite shocking in my opinion.

Disgusting ripoff company. I have been parking next to my local Tesco shop for the last 2 years whenever i go to do shopping n. yesterday I revived letter fine from smartparking PCN £100 reduced to £60 if i pay quick and apparently they put there no parking at any time ! I didn't notice it and if I parked there for 15 Min while in Tesco what did I cost them to charge me that ? welcome to rip of Britain.

Incorrect PCN issued stating that I was in breach of the displayed signs. Was parked for 11 minutes into 2hr free parking period (signs clearly state no ticket required for free period). PCN arrived stating I did not display ticket. LESSON: always appeal incorrect PCNs as the POPLA team were fair and upheld my appeal (avoiding spending £100). Now waiting for 2nd appeal to go through - similar outcome expected as exact same issue just a month later even though no PCNs issued for all the other times (weekly) I parked with them. Given the number of reviews scoring 1 (probably because you cannot issue a score of ZERO) I would advise anyone to always take a picture of the signs with this company especially if further away from your usual route or home. It could save you a few ££.

Was sent a Parking Charge Notice for Standard Quay, Faversham. As an elderly couple we were panicked and although we knew we had never been to that destination we didn't know how to prove it wasn't us. Turned out it wasn't our car but a completely different make with a similar numberplate. Sent photographs of our car and details from the Gov.UK website regarding the other vehicle. Parking charge was eventually cancelled by brief email without one word of apology for THEIR mistake.

I appealed a parking ticket with a good bases and the rejected it. You don't really have the option to appeal again because you then have to pay the full amount because their communication is so slow.

Joke parking nothing smart about them ripping people of I am a diabetic on Insulin I was forced to park behind some shops because my blood sugar had gone very low and it was unsafe for me to drive. I was parked there for 40 minutes so my blood sugar could come up I got a parking ticket because I had parked there. I have appealed against the decision. They have totally ignored everything I have said and they still wanted me to drive my car out of the car park even though I would’ve been breaking the law by doing so there’s nothing smart about that parking company rip-off parking not smart.

£60 fine for a 12 min stay after driving into a wrong car park. Appealed fine but obviously not a company who is willing to use common sense on appeal!
