Absolute con merchants. I was a regular at JD Gym user in Bury who for the past 2 years has used the Angouleme retail car park. On entry into the gym, you enter your car registration details into a tablet which gives you free parking for 3 hours. I have never had an issue until recently when i received a penalty notice 20 days after the supposed parking infringement saying i had not paid the fee or entered my details into the tablet inside the gym. I know that i would have entered my car reg details in because it’s the first thing i did after going through the security barriers. Done it hundreds of times previously. I appealed but lost the appeal and reluctantly paid the fine because i just didn’t have the time or patience to deal with these condescending idiots. £100 fine reduced to £60. I have now cancelled my membership of JD Gym Bury anymore because i can’t risk receiving another fine by this predatory company.

Stayed overnight at the Ibis Hotel Manchester airport. Parked in the Hotel carpark and got the room card from reception and duly brought our luggage to the room. We took the stairs because we couldn't fathom out the lift. Went straight back to the car and returned it to the "Car hire village". Back in Europe a week later received a mail from the car hire company. 40 pounds administration costs from the car hire and a pdf from "smartparking" with a fine for 60 pounds. The carpark had no barriers or anything but a sign with "only Ibis and Holiday Inn customers". I didn't know the the car was photographed by entering and leaving and the hotel staff didn't say anything. Never saw a payment machine during my stay. According to Smartparking I was there for 17 minutes. I've never experienced anything like this before. Deception in my eyes. Shame Ibis works with this kind of system unless they're taking a cut...

SCAMMERS I got a tickets for staying overnight in a McDonalds car park. The reality is i went to McDonalds in the afternoon of day 1 and then went back for breakfast on day 2. The ANPR camera seems to have only detected the first time I drove in and last time I drove out despite going out and back in, in between. This resulted in what they claim is an "overstay". I did not overstay. I appealed within 14 days and my appeal was ignored. I got a debt collectors letter without my appeal even being considered. I refuse to pay as the ticket was issued incorrectly in the first place. I have reported them to BPA and no doubt see them at Court.

I’ve only given one star because they have not given the option for minus stars. 49 seconds over my 10 mins at Forrest Gate Baptist Church,Blackpool, no grace in this company. Didn’t bother appealing, as the stress is to much.

Parked in the wrong space in a shared car park in error. Tried to resolve, without success. Penalty ramped up to £170. Hotel (Blackpool) don't answer. Company transferred debt to a debt collector. Called them 3 times. Each time on hold for over 30 minutes - no answer and no other method of contact that i can ascertain. Very aggressive firm.

Parked in a space which was next to spaces owned by a different company!! Paid for parking for the company in the space next to me as NO clear signage to say they’re owned by different people. Obviously part of their thieving tactics. Letter issued on 3rd September but arrived on 13th leaving 4 days to appeal. Another thieving tactic. If you see a car park owned by this company just avoid as they will find any reason to rob your money. I would personally be ashamed working for a company that rob innocent people. Just as bad as the ones robbing on the streets.

Thieving Robbing scammers If you ever park in one of these car parks make sure you display your ticket clearly and take a photo of it on your phone. This company needs investigating and reporting they are stealing money off people
