It took about one week to transition both kitties to the Smalls diet. I feed them the wet and kibble (kibble in the morning and wet in the evening). They have been on the plan now for several weeks, successfully! They eat ALL of it, so no worries there. Their vet reviewed the Smalls website and is comfortable with their new diet. So, we are all VERY happy!!

Definitely seen an improvement in my cat after feeding her fresh food instead of canned, no complaints there. The problems are with the ordering process and the packaging. I feel very forced into buying a certain amount of food each time instead of how much I want to buy, you can adjust calories and frequency but it would be so much simpler to just pick out the items you want. Secondly the packaging is IMPOSSIBLE to open, I've never gotten it open without a scissors and that is still a process. Also the amount of time each package takes to unfreeze seems very different and I've had to start keeping canned food on hand in case the other food is not ready in time.

I have been ordering from Smalls since October 2020. My kitty loves their freeze dried raw food kibble and I love that it is a raw food that he will eat. I also like that the food is dedicated for kitties and well sourced. I find the convenience of the delivery terrific and the customer service is super responsive. I have tried many of the fresh cooked meals and they look wonderful and arrived frozen, but my kitty won't eat them - he is super picky. I highly recommend ordering from Smalls for your kitty today!

This is my 2nd review. I wanted to voice my agreement with reviews I read today about the packaging and the website: I too wish the long frozen packs were easier, less messy to empty out. I thaw each one in the fridge overnight, then cut off the top and squeeze out the food to a glass bowl. It's a bit hard to get all the food out. About the website: I thought it was because I am 80 years old and not as tech-savvy as your other customers that I found your site frustrating. I was glad to see comments agreeing with my opinion of the difficulty of using your site, and needing to email the concierge to add something new to my next regular order of the 12 packs of Frozen Ground Chicken, and then have to wait for a reply from a human. I think it would be easier for your SCHEDULED customers and your staff, if we could simply add something to our regular shipment. I understand that you are smaller than Petco or Chewy and specialize in high quality food, but it is fast and easy with Chewy's website to manage and add products to scheduled shipments. I hope to be a long term customer, my cat likes your food, I appreciate the quality of the food, and I make these comments only because I want to continue with you and hope your company thrives.

I have a 17yo cat who sometimes struggles to eat enough and keep it down. She loves the food for the most part and I've seen an improvement in her since we switched to it. I have two complaints. One is that the consistency is not there yet. The same recipes have been visually different in different packages (texture, color, one was pink in the middle, and one had a section that looked burned), and her response to them seems to differ. The other complaint is that the packaging is WAY too hard to open!

I recently had a delivery where some items weren’t included in the box. While Smalls immediately refunded me for the items (which was great) I’d rather the items have been sent after the fact. I really wish there was an option to receive the missed items. I have to go out and purchase supplemental kibble for my cat which defeats the purpose of having the delivery service to begin with. UPDATE - My cat (a non picky cat) refused to eat any of the flavors in this last batch. I tried leaving it but he starved himself over giving in. Cancelled my subscription. This latest batch was bad perhaps? Pretty disappointed. I like the idea of RAW food. The execution leaves something to be desired.

I absolutely love the food you work so hard to provide for us paw-rents, but I will say how frustrating and confusing the sign in process is, as well as keeping my order straight. Just this week I received an email that I was getting 2 packages of pulled bird, and that was it. Here are the 2 issues with that, 1) I order 12 packages at a time (so getting only 2 packages of food didn’t make sense), and 2) It wasn’t time for my order to be sent. Had I not immediately texted customer service (which is also a confusing process), I would’ve received this erroneous shipment! When I reached out, the CSR couldn’t explain why it happened, and it was corrected in the end. If it wasn’t for your high quality food (which made my holistic Vet happy, btw) I would’ve given up a while ago. Thanks for asking, and I look forward to the improvements for us paw-rents!! 😻

It's no small thing! // Love it. Tony and Vinnie love their meals. It's so fancy and smells so good I feel like I'm not feeding them as much as "plating" their meal experiences.
