The watches are slim and goodlooking. But the glass cracks easily(for example after a repair center changed battery. It is really hopeless to have anything to do with Skagen support. I live in Sweden and it seems like there is no Skagen retailer or service center here when I Google the internet. And the Skagen support situated in UK I think , is the most unhelpful I have ever met. They could not even help me to find out if there is a retailer/repair center or not in Sweden where I can get help to change glass. So no, I do not recommend Skagen. My watch is now in the garbage can. Inspite a new battery för 45 euro….

My view is that the quality of Skagen watches has declined considerably. The Skagen watch purchased as a present for me by my partner three years ago was less than 18 months old when the internal parts had to be replaced. Two years later, the internal parts would have to be replaced again (the second hand keeps sticking). She and I won't be buying any more Skagen watches. My other Skagen watch is more than 12 years old and is still working satisfactorily.

During a recent trip abroad, my 5 year old Skagen Connect watch failed to sync with my iPhone, despite my repeatedly refreshing the App that I had on the phone. The watch was therefore useless. On my return, I have contacted Customer ‘Service’ UK three times. Each time they said a link would be emailed to me to enable a fresh syncing. Nothing has yet happened. I have two other simple Skagen watches which are stylish and reliable. If you require Customer ‘Service’ for anything more sophisticated, it may not be forthcoming.

Wish I’d trusted the bad reviews. Twice I ordered a watch as a birthday present. The first was dead on arrival so assume it was the battery, had the hassle of sending back and waiting forever for a refund. Reordered the watch thinking surely not two watches with dead battery but oh yes it did !! I was furious, wrote to Skagen they told me to pay a jeweller for a replacement ….. Disgusting customer service. Watch went back and I know they received via UPS over a week ago and still waiting for a refund. Writing to their parent company Fossil got no response either ! Very poor company who sell watches not fit for purpose

I bought my wife a SKAGEN watche for her birthday some years ago, because of it's sleek and clean design which suits her style. However the watch has given us a specific recurring problem, and it has got to the stage where the jeweller who has arranged the repairing of the watch recognises me. There are two issues. The Crown Wheel seems to continually drop off and need replacing. This has been done to my recollection 4 times. And it is not as though the watch is exposed to harsh conditions, my wife has the computer that she works at and spends the majority of her time doing research with books and writing. The glass cover on the face also has dropped off the watch to my knowledge about three times. When I compare this to my watch, which is a 51 year old Seiko with an octagonal face and is an auto wind mechanical watch, it has never been near a service centre since it was given to me on my 16th birthday. And it works in a considerably more harsh environment than my wife's watch. (I work in a variety of locations, often out of doors in harsh conditions) To add to my current issues, I have tried contacting your local South African representatives, Watch Republic by both telephone to the customer service number, which never seems to get answered. (Customer Service is obviously an oxymoron in this instance) and also via the message facility on their website, I don't even get an acknowledgement or receipt. So in conclusion, I will be relaying these issues to a consumer review site, so others can consider such issues when wishing to purchase one of your watches. It is a pity that a watch which has a beautiful clean design seems to have issues with form over function.

Skagen ist leider nicht die Marke, die sie vorgibt zu sein bzw. etwas hat sich offenbar in der Geschäftsausrichtung geändert. Ich habe heute versucht ein Armband für eine Uhr zu kaufen, die ich vor ein paar Jahren gekauft habe. Leider ist diese vom Produktdesign so konzipiert, dass man nicht irgendein Band nehmen kann, daher kann ich die Uhr jetzt wohl wegwerfen oder muss es zu erhöhten Kosten irgendwie anfertigen lassen. Sowas ärgert mich, zumal Skagen ja auf "nachhaltig" und "qualität" macht und dann aber einfach nicht liefert. Vom Support kommt nur "gibt es nicht mehr" (als hätte ich das nicht selbst gemerkt) aber auch keine weiterführenden Hinweise, ob man eine Alternative gibt oder wer einem helfen kann, z.b. Verweis auf Fachhändler in der Nähe, also keinerlei Lösungsansatz, was mich richtig sauer macht. Also Leute, kauft euch ne Seiko oder Casio, aber gebt keine Geld für eine Modeartikel aus, der keinerlei Qualitätsversprechen einhält.

I have good and bad feedback about this watch. Good: - the watch looks great. Great options of personalising the screen. - the screen and buttons are very easy and convenient to use. I compare with another smart watch I had before and the screen was nightmare to use (not visible in bright sun, difficulty to launch the workout etc). Skagen screen is much better, I can see the difference. However, they need to do some improvements as to data accuracy and software (application). - there is no possibility to enter the workout manually from application. Only in real time vis watch. - there is no possibility to adjust the difficulty level when working out. As a result, the data on calories are not correct as it takes the easiest level. - issues with accuracy of the data while hiking. Some distances could surprise you. I recently had a walk recorded of 300 km in 1 hour... - no possibility to fix the period dates which is very convenient for women to have. - data accuracy is quite low. Sleep time is counted for every quite time like watching TV for example. I know that all these issues can be fixed as my previous watch was much better as per data accuracy and application functionalities.
