The Auto-shut off you are referring to can be disabled in the menu system. Hey Jeff, Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review! The Aurora Black does not include a lanyard or microfiber bag. Only the Standard, which is our outdoor adventure model includes these items. The Aurora black is our tactical model and we chose to include a free picatinny rail mount instead.
