Sidecar has been the easiest health insurance I have ever used.

They charged more than out of pocket costs for each doctors visit. I payed them for insurance, and the doctors visits would have cost less out of pocket with no insurance. They could not explain why after 5 calls. The “team members” promised to get to the bottom of it, but I never heard anything back from anyone. When I cancelled the coverage it seemed as if this was normal for customer support to hear. They have bad business practices and worse customer support. They took my money and gave me absolutely nothing in return.

I have used sidecar for a full year and believe fully in the concept of the product. The customer service is very quick as others have pointed out as well a the claims payout. My challenge with the product is how they calculate "average cost of services". Where I live there are limited providers, so I call providers over 100 miles away to get the cheapest care. Yet Sidecar still claims the AVERAGE cost for the medical service provided is lower than what I ever pay. Recently I had an MRI that costs ranged from $450-$2200 (most quoted about $850 for cash customer) when calling 8 providers in 3 states. Sidecar says the AVERAGE cost of the service is $183! I challenged them to provide me the name of a provider that was less than what I paid, they were not able to do so and did not change the payout amount to be true to the market. It is this lack of transparency that should make anyone looking at Sidecar to be very aware. If a major medical services is needed, is Sidecar going pay out 25% for treatment claiming all providers fees are too high compared to their secret underwriting guidelines? Be prepared.

Sidecar Health’s timeliness in claim review, transparency and excellent customer service are, as they promote, healthcare the way it SHOULD BE! Cannot recommend Sidecar enough. So grateful to have them as MY healthcare source!

This is great for when you can't get insurance. Sidecar health has saved me a couple of times because I didn't have the money to go to the doctor but I needed to go. and it's a lot more affordable than everything else

I experienced a complete peace in healthcare costs as long as I could have a year-long plan with sidecarhealth. I was not so sure how careful they would be once I accepted a plan. I found this amazing whenever I needed expense in healthcare. Using the website is simple and easy. Online chat is almost instant with quick and honest response. This served hassle-free benefit for each expense. In most expense cases, the benefits exceeded the costs. Thus, in total, I did not have any out-of-pocket expense rather money came to my pocket. Based on the health condition and current prescriptions, if they offer plans, I recommend that accepting a plan should result a complete peace in healthcare costs until the costs will reach the chosen limit. I would accept a plan again for another year but unfortunately my current high price prescription does not allow to accept a plan.

I have been a member of sidecar health since November 2021. They allow me to choose the doctors I want and earn credit for keeping within, or under my benefit amount. For the first time, I love my health insurance!!
