Sidecar has been a majority good experience for my family and I. It is cheaper that traditional insurance, which is nice and I don't have to worry about in network VS out of network. The only complaint is that we have to get the itemized bill ourselves, which can be a hassle and has burned us once, but, frankly, everyone should be asking for an itemized receipt for every doctor visit.

I love my sidecar insurance, and the whole idea, but using it is a different story. Most doctors offices I go to do not know how to deal with fee for service. They don’t want to have to deal with me paying upfront they want to bill me, and it is sometimes an ordeal to get my payments and receipts. It happens more often than not.

Sidecar has been an amazing experience that puts your own healthcare in your hands as you can choose your service providers. If the rates charged are lower than what Sidecar reimburses, you get a credit. I have been very happy with Sidecar and highly recommend them as a new, innovative health insurance option.
