Buying several chairs from ShopSeating was a great experience. As worried as I am about online purchases, their friendly customer service and prompt shipping has certainly made me a believer.

They falsely advertise that they ship 1 to 2 days after order. 13 days later they are still "processing" my order. If you email customer service they do not respond. I wish I had looked at customer reviews before I ordered from them- consumer affairs website has complaints against them also.

They sent me the wrong product, so I complained. They promised to correct the problem. It took a month, but they sent me the correct product. It was damaged. I complained again. They said they'd send me another product. I contacted them every week to check in; eventually they stopped responding. After 2 months, I threatened to report them to eBay (where I purchased the item) and the BBB. They sent another product. It, too, was damaged. I give up.

I changed my rating from one start to four starts. My order finally came in after 45 days of waiting. The delivery took forever but at least I got it and they gave me $150 back for my trouble. Make sure they have what you need in stock and can deliver it to your location BEFORE you place an order.

I placed an order for 2 chairs on Dec 5. I called on Dec 16 for an update. They told me they would call me back with information. I did not receive a call, so I called them back the same day. Found out the chairs had been backordered and that they are filling backorders now. My chair should be to me by Dec 22-23. It is a long process, but their prices were better than anyone elses. They did not combine shipping on the chairs, which was interesting, but they were still a good value.

So, I had a problem with the chair I ordered. When it arrived, partially because the packaging crumbled when I tried to lift the chair, I dropped the box. When I opened it, one armrest had broken off. Shopseating sent me a new one via UPS express, no questions asked, after the initial trouble I had had. This is what customer service should be like.
