Easy to find the music but hard to download
The app lets you search a lot of music: that’s good news. You can also buy that music through the app: that’s the end of the good news. The bad news begins with trying to download the music you just bought: this can not, repeat not, be done. You can use the app to list out what you’ve bought but you can’t print or download it. Strange. Consulting help on the app you get directed to a webpage that tells you how to download: you have to open a web browser, go to the sheet music direct webpage and access it there. What’s the first thing you see at that webpage? Yup, an invitation to open the app! You have to remember to ignore that and then figure out how to login, view what you’ve purchased, and download it. This process was not clear, easy, or intuitive. It sure would be nice if you could skip all this falderol and just download from the app. And: if you maintain a webpage for your services try to organize it a little bit better. I deducted four stars for this runaround.
Response from Sheet Music DirectAug 11, 2025
Hi George -- we're sorry for the difficulties. At this time, the Sheet Music Direct app is used for viewing only, not for printing. If you wish to print any of your purchases (including purchases made within the app), you may do so by logging onto your account directly on the Sheet Music Direct website (www.SheetMusicDirect.com) using your iPad, computer, tablet, or smartphone. Once logged in, go to My Account > Order History. If you need assistance, please reach out to us at [email protected].
