shapeshift may make you cry
For a week i believed my money to be gone due to shapeshifts constant website failures. first issue occurred when i logged in and none of my charts would load. banxa didn't work, gem didnt work. I was able to move my eth out, but my btc was stuck entirely and couldn't be traded for other crypto. It turns out after days of emails, of Banxa being shut down, of non stop garbage advice, the support tells me that their native wallet, Portis, doesn't actually support the type of BTC i bought! (segwit native that was auto chosen). thank god though, i was able to get into electrum and get my funds out with the seed phrases. If you care about your sanity, please don't use this site. the stress I went through believing my thousands to be gone was not worth a little bit of crypto gains. Actually no gains since I couldn't sell anything and couldnt trade until I got electrum.
