Hope you read this review before you make a decision to purchase from Seatingmind.com. I bought a Herman Miller Aeron chair from this company for $619 3.5 years ago. The height adjustment is no longer working. After multiple attempts of contacting this company via emails, and sending them the video of the defect, their customer service response was that the defect was not covered under their warranty. They claim that they offer 12 year full warranty.

1. Ordered Steelcase Gesture chair 8/20/23 for $724.99 and had delivered on 8/28/23 2. Chair as it was damaged during shipping - got return approval on 9-21 after going back and forth 3. Shipped chair for refund on 9/27/23 and got delivered on 10/18/23 4. Refund “processed” on Nov 3rd and was told it could take up to 20 days for the refund to reflect. 5. It’s now 12/11/23 and I still don't have my refund and since the minimum time limit for card disputes is 60 days this company has taken advantage of me. They strung me along enough to make it past the dispute deadline. 6. I’ve tried reaching out to them via phone, email and online chat - I get ignored and told to keep waiting.

I would never buy from this company ever again. The chair we ordered came in damaged. Scratches all over the legs and arms. The rollers were scuffed up and dirty, the material on the chair was filthy. I reached out to them explaining the issues with the chair & sent them pictures of the damaged chair asking for a full refund which was 30 day guaranteed for a full refund. They offered me a $60 refund for the damaged chair that I paid $399, not acceptable! This is for sure false advertisement. The picture on the internet looked nothing like what we received. Then they proceeded to ask me if I could prove where it said the chair was brand new. I sent them the quote that Jacob sent me which said nothing about a refurbished chair. We emailed back & forth for an entire month before they agreed to charge us a 20% restocking fee and refunded $320 once they receive the chair back at their warehouse (I have this in writing). I sent the chair back using UPS and tracked the package to make sure they received it back with proof of delivery. I then contacted them and they assured me that I would see the money within 2 weeks. I still do not have any money a month after they received the chair back. They eventually quit responding to my emails and calls. The last email was sent on April 10th, 4 months after the purchase with no results. I never received a refund for the damaged chair. In the end, this order was advertised as 30-day money back guaranteed, and it said nothing about refurbished chairs on the quote. I did everything they requested and still no results. This is not the kind of business anyone should have to deal with. Tracy

Ordered an office chair for $574.99. Nearly 2 months has gone by without any updates. Can't get anyone via phone. No one responds to e-mails that have been received (receive auto-generated e-mails saying it was received and someone will get back to me in 48 hours). Nothing! Contacted the NJ attorney general, BBB and the FTC. If this happened to you, you should take the same steps! They have 145 complaints with the BBB in the last 3 years, and over 50 in the last 12 months.

I gave them a 1 star only because there are none lower. These guys are pure scammers, con men. Tell your family, tell your friends NOT to go anywhere near these guys. I placed an order over 3 months ago, they double charge may bank, refunded only one charge, and have refused to pay me back the rest of the money they took from me. SCAM - DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM SEATINGMIND.COM

If I could leave no stars I would. If I could leave negative stars I would. This is the worst company in the longline of bad companies. First of all do yourself a favor and google them. Every website has them with 1 star. Every review you find tells a horror story of dealing with them. If you look them up on Better Business Bureau, you’ll find that they have had their certificate revoked. I bought one of their chairs in July. Received it end of July and within a month it broke. The cylinder and the seating frame. When I reached out to them they wanted proof, so I gave them proof then instead of replacing the entire chair, they sent me parts expecting me to fix it myself. One of the parts I even had to fight for because at first they weren’t going to help me with everything. It was only when I reminded them of their 12 yr warranty that they reversed their decision and sent me the parts I needed. When the parts came I didn’t expect the fixing process would be as difficult as it was but it was so difficult that they sent me a video that poorly walks you through fixing the chair and surprises you with tools that are a must have in order to fix the chair. So I had to buy tools I never intended to buy just to fix this chair. Then while fixing the chair and following the directions of the video they sent me the new cylinder broke. Now they refuse to replace my cylinder and are telling me I can buy a new one. Again their warranty is for 12 yrs and this is covered under that and yet they refuse to honor it. It has been several months now of me fighting them to honor their warranty but they refuse. Lenna the customer rep is one of the worst humans you will ever deal with. She cares nothing about helping you or even treating you like a customer. All she cares about is getting more money from you. These are horrible people that literally belong behind bars. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

This company and its practices are nothing more than a con. They sell under the terms "restored or refurbished" but likely never touch the junk they sell and pass off. The chair I received arrived broken, dirty with clumps of long hair wrapped around the castors in a broken, flimsy box. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

I bought a Steelcase Leap V2 chair from seatingmind.com. Only after ordering, did I discover that the chair was not new. This is partly my fault as I did not see the notice at the bottom of the web page that the chairs had been bought from a company that no longer needed them. When I contacted Jacob at customer service by email he was very prompt at replying to all my emails. When I noted that there was a date stamp on the chair that indicated it was manufactured in 2007, he agreed to a partial refund of $100. I'm giving the company three stars, because I feel like they could have been more upfront about the condition and age of the chairs. I'm not giving them one star, because I feel like customer service was actually pretty good, and in the end this chair, for $300 is excellent value. Despite the date stamp, it looks almost new, other than a scratch or two in places that you don't really see. If you are considering the chair, I would suggest emailing customer service first, asking about the vintage and condition of the chairs, and perhaps even negotiate a lower price than the one advertised.
