Highly recommend Schumacher Cargo for international moving services. My move included 500 cubic feet on a shared container. Everything was packed perfectly and picked up in LA, and delivered to the South of France exactly 3 months later in connection with Gosselin Moving. No complaints and great service from start to finish!

Shipping car from US to Europe. They continuously confirmed the estimate even with new war going on. At the last second when I was confirming, they spiked the cost by 1600! really bad. They tell you they are from hamburg germany to provide some confidence but facts proved the estimator wrong. not ok. Their reviews on the shopper approved site look like scam as you cannot upload honest reviews. I ended up shipping with somebody else from California, paid way lower overall costs, had better, humble, friendly dialogue.

I had used Schumacher logistics twice in the past for cross-Atlantic moves. I was very happy with their service both times, so I chose them again. I took no insurance out because i did not think I needed to protect myself ...from them. I chose the option with packaging by them, to make sure all was done and packaged properly (meaning: I paid extra for this). They came to my place, packed up everything and left with all the items that needed moving. Nothing was left in my apartment. Among these items was a vintage industrial fan that was quite valuable, a valuable coffee table, a valuable desk, and a valuable couch. First, they took all these items apart without asking first (I did not see them do it, otherwise I would have stopped them). I signed a sheet saying that they removed 35 boxes from my home. Upon delivery to my new home, I signed a sheet acknowledging receipt of 35 boxes. I immediately unpacked everything the same day and realized that the coffee table, the desk and the couch had been damaged (a few broken glasses also, but that can always happen). Most importantly, the foot of the industrial fan was missing entirely. I reached out to them, explaining that the damage to the items was not that important to me but that the missing foot of the fan was something I deeply cared about. First, they apologized and said they would reimburse me. But then another person reached out, said I took no insurance out and that, as a result, they could not do anything further to help. Now mind you, why would anyone take out an insurance to protect themselves from a moving company? Insurance is there to cover unpredictable things, like loss at sea for instance. After I told them that I would sue them, they finally agreed to at least try to locate the foot. After waiting a while, I followed up with them. Their answer was that they were not able to locate the foot. No offer for indemnification, although, surely, they have an insurance policy that would have assisted in indemnifying me (but their premiums, most liekly, wold ahve gone up as a result). Now this foot has been removed by them and clearly lost by them, since I shipped and received the same number of boxes. They tried to blame it on the company that delivered the boxes to me (they worked with another local company to deliver from the port of entry to my home). They did this despite the fact that it was clearly their mistake. They did not care at all. Be careful with your valuables, this company does not seem to care neither about your goods nor about you - kind of counter intuitive for a moving company. I hope this helps someone out there!
