Good idea, poor implementation. Getting an issue resolved takes days. No clear leadership. They laid off a bunch of people and the workload was clearly too much for everyone else to take on. The management portal needs some work.

We were kicked off our Sana plan after two years and couldn’t get any clear explanations as to why. Now we’re back on a lame government plan. I guess the good part is now there will be no confusion when explaining to our providers what Sana is. Nobody ever understood it.

I am a provider and have found it impossible to get paid for my services. I had to mail in my claim and it’s been over two months and nothing. I have tried calling and the customer service does not seem to know who to submit a claim if I don’t have access to a claim system. And I cannot seem to find anyone to help.

Here are the facts about WHAT Sana is -They are a new form of insurance (self-funded/level funded). This form of insurance I hope will be outlawed as it is 100% a scam. We were blissfully unaware and happy clients of Sana for the last 3 years. Paying our premiums, doing our annual check ups and going about our business. Then one of our employees received a diagnosis that could require some expensive medical treatments and our employee thought "thank goodness I can have peace of mind in this tough time because I am insured!" WRONG! Self Funded pretty much means you are paying a middleman to pay your bills, but if that middleman thinks they may be short to pay your bills - they disappear!! That is exactly what Sana did. My employee received a tough diagnosis and then I had to break it to them that our so-called "insurance" has cancelled us actually citing "our underwriters have projected a recent diagnosis will be too costly and will not renew". Sana is good when times are good, and will leave you when times are bad, which by definition is NOT INSURANCE! I urge anyone running a small business to seek traditional fully insured insurance to avoid this kind of nightmare.
