Sage Dental advertises you can go to 1 of their 60 locations in an emergency. What a joke!!!
When I called the closest office to me, they transferred me to an office 35 minutes away.
This is wholesale dental service not personal dental service!

TRYING TO PUSH UNNECESSARY DEEP…
TRYING TO PUSH UNNECESSARY DEEP CLEANING!!!
Went in for a normal cleaning and was told I needed a deep cleaning for $460 plus $180 every 3 months after that. For 55 years I have never had a problem with my mouth as I brush twice a day and floss. I refused and said I wanted a regular cleaning which they did. I asked about my 20 year old son's next cleaning appt. I was told they needed to do the same deep cleaning for him and that they couldn't do a regular cleaning because the dentist recommended a deep cleaning. I told the hygienist that he was going in the Air Force in January so if he needed a deep cleaning that they can do it. It will be interesting to see what they say. I will be changing dentist this coming year as I don't trust them. Don't go to the Sage in Lakewood Ranch!
From all the reviews I have read, everyone who goes to Sage needs a deep cleaning...not!! 😁

Sage Dental not only has lousy service
Sage Dental not only has lousy service, but they will try to bill you for additional money even when your insurance fully covered the bill! They keep hitting me up for another $30, by mail and by text messages. I called my insurance carrier and was told Sage Dental was paid in full. I called Sage Dental's billing department and the employee didn't want to hear it. Now I'm requesting proof from my carrier of the full payment. I can take this and the bill/text messages to the State Attorney's office and file for attempted fraud. Sage knows they should be working with the insurance carrier for any discrepancies instead of harassing a "former" customer. Find an honest company for your dental needs, Sage isn't it.

Sage dental of Pembroke Pines overcharges
Sage dental overcharges well beyond the insurance rates per in network agreement and they sent me a bill after services rendered for 140$ adding insult to injury. Do not go here, they have very poor customer service practices! Just look at their ratings.

Beware of Sage Dental of Pinecrest…
Beware of Sage Dental of Pinecrest (SDOP)! Do your research before visiting! I only wish I would have further researched SDOP beyond just Google Reviews. If I had, I would have been more skeptical of their 4.6 average score based on 340 reviews. Other websites are not so generous to SDOP with considerably less participation:
-On HEALTHGRADES.COM, SDOP only received 2 reviews vs. 340 on Google
-On YELP.COM, SDOP received a total of 12 reviews with an average score of 2.3
-On ZOCDOC.COM, SDOP received 31 reviews that only evaluated one provider
-On TRUSTPILOT.COM, SDOP received 19 reviews with an average score of 1.7
-BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU (BBB) reflects the company received 56 complaints in the last 12 months and 155 complaints in the past 3 years.
While reading the SDOP Reviews, I found many others who encountered similar circumstances to what I have experienced:
-Surprise Billing
-Insurance Discrepancies
-Pressured Unnecessary Treatments (per my new dentist)
-Incompetent Management
-Poor Customer Service
I visited Sage Dental of Pinecrest (SDOP) mid July for my annual check-up/cleaning. To my surprise, they conducted X-Rays and was soon advised of “necessary” treatments that exceeded $1500. Nonchalantly, I was informed not to worry, and that a financial person would soon see me to explain their installment plans. I knew then I needed to find a new dentist! I firmly declined all treatments except the one I had come in for, the cleaning. Unlike others, I was advised of the $80 charge for fluoride that oddly my insurance wouldn’t cover. I was surprised to hear but agreed to pay the treatment.
To my further surprise, I received a bill approx. 2 or 3 months after my visit. Not understanding the charges (since I paid what I was told during my visit), I contacted the SDOP Office and was told that the office manager would contact me. I did not hear back for weeks, and was continuing to receive invoices & text messages requesting payment. Not until I contacted their corporate office did I hear back from the SDOP Office Manager. When reviewing the bill closer, I learned the invoice was not from my recent visit but the one prior in August of 2022! I asked why wouldn’t I have been charged the same day of treatment instead of 15 months later like my most recent visit. I was only told “I don’t know” repeatedly.
I’m not sure if the office manager is incompetent, or if the owner/franchisee of the clinic is deliberately double-billing patients. Perhaps both! Regardless, based on my interactions, they’ve lost my business (4 patients) and receiving reviews on every healthcare website to warn others. Please educate yourself about SDOP so you don't have to go thru what I and many other have!

It's a Scam
I've been coming Sage Dental for 6 years because of the convenience of the location. I've never been overly happy with them but never made the effort to find another provider. Today, the dentist checked me out and confirmed that I had no cavities. Then, after waiting 45 minutes for the hygienist, I as given a iPad and shown a treatment plan for a $300 special cleaning that I supposedly needed - none of which would be covered by insurance. I explained that I scheduled the normal treatment and that's what I wanted, but was told they would not do the cleaning covered by insurance because I needed this special one - even though the dentist had just said I have no cavities. Once I questioned this supposed treatment plan, they became very defensive and it seemed even more like a scam, so I left and am now looking for a new dental office.

Titusville Florida
Titusville Florida. I went in today for a consultation as I was looking for a new dentist. I have had regular check ups and cleaning every 6 months. I have insurance that covers my care. They took multiple xrays, had the hygienist come in who told me I needed deep cleaning and then re-cleaned every 3 months, then the dentist came in and was pretty curt and told me that the manager would be in to give me my treatment plan. Now, we all know that dental insurance only pays for cleaning every 6 months, not 3 months, just take note. Their treatment plan included the deep cleaning some kind of antibiotic treatment and I am not sure what else but it added up to hundreds of dollars that were not covered by my insurance. I said no, I only want my teeth cleaned every 6 months like is normal. They told me I had to accept their treatment plan and pay for it. I told them that I did NOT have to accept their treatment plan and they would never see me again and thanked them for wasting my time. I have never had such an awful experience at a dental office. They are determined to upcharge for uncovered unnecessary treatments. I would warn everyone I know to stay away from them.
