Was out of state and requested a recent visit estimate and what insurance would pay on it. Stephanie the office manager said she would email me the info. And never did. Even sent her my email address in an email to facilitate a correct response. Never got it. Had to ask for a manager to get that done. Not customer oriented or understanding

Sage Dental is a classic bait and switch operation. They find a way to do procedures outside of my Dental Insurance coverage. Refused to give me a normal cleaning, but 3 times in 3 visits charged me for a “maintenance” cleaning. I’m a senior and I’ve had many routine cleanings in my life, what they call a maintenance cleaning is nothing more, in fact less, than any normal cleaning I’ve had all my life. One time, they even had the gall to bill me a second time for no reason. When I questioned them, they said “Oh, I’m sorry, we’ll just give you a courtesy discount”. Right! I caught them and call there hand!

I showed up to my appointment and over heard the front desk telling an elderly man that is needs a cleaning and his insurance will not pay for it, that he has to pay for the cleaning before they will fix any problem that he has. So I asked the front desk if I could just be seen for the tooth that is causing me pain and he informed that they can examine my tooth today but if I need anything done to it I have to that I have to have a complete full cleaning and examine of all me teeth before they could fix my one tooth. I told him that is ridiculous, so he lied to me and told me that they are just following my insurances' protocol and that my mouth has to be completely clean before they can do anything. I contacted my insurance as soon as I got home and the insurace company told that is not true and that they don't have a protocol like that, if I'm in pain or have a concern about a certain tooth then they will cover what I need to have done without any cleaning or even a full mouth examine. Sage Dental is trying to get more money and make the patient go through more dental care then what is unnecessary.

Sage Dental on Bird in Miami (FL) refused to perform a regular cleaning because I didn't agree to a deep cleaning - an out of pocket cost of $874. I talked to the office manager, Isabel Peredes, and she confirmed refusal of service stating that they are the professionals and they do not follow the patients' requests. This dental office feels more like a car dealer than a healthcare provider. Very disappointed.

It would be 0 ,if there was that option. As of Dec 23 2023, I have no teeth/dentures . Pulled Nov 15 2033. Due to MAJOR lack of management- the 2nd mold was altered- sent back to lab- we pray, as last 2 times, was forgotten to be mailed with no rush- expedite- nothing. Called corporate office dec 13 2023. Still NO ONE bother to call 😡 Toothless in Daytona Florida Appointment for Jan 16 2024 for - maybe dentures. HIPA waived - to save other perform this UNPROFESSIONAL Business.

Awful experience!! Yesterday, I was told I needed a root canal, a crown on a different tooth, & 3 fillings. Went to Oaktree today & with the SAME X-RAYS was told there was no need for a crown & no fillings needed. Buyer beware if you go here — they are completely unethical, & the dentist was pushy & rude.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I am having no issues with my teeth or gums, no pain, no redness, no swelling. I went to them for the first time for my annual exam (which they require before scheduling a cleaning) and received a treatment plan that has a $3,208 out-of- pocket cost. I asked them to only do the parts of the plan which I can afford and my insurance covers but they refuse to do anything other than their full plan. They refuse to do a basic cleaning of my teeth. Isn't a basic cleaning better than none?!? If I go to a doctor and they want me to have surgery, I get to choose and still get to see that doctor; not so with this dental company. Getting through to them on the phone is also difficult; they often don't answer and they do not return message of which I have left several since over the last few months.

the office manager at the West Hollywood branch, Debbie Ricardo has been very helpful and stood up for me when my insurer attempted to deny coverage on more than one occasion. I have been at other branches before, but this one work very well with my heavy travel schedule. I'm comfortable here. Daniel Leslie.
