I was pressed to provide a down payment with a debit card of $2000 although initial credit was declined. I canceled contract on November 4th but all I get are excuses for not having returned my funds by November 18th per cancellation clause. Instead of returning funds to my card plan to send d check eventually. My bank wants to pursue criminal charges as I'm a 70 year old disabled veteran. Either Friday or Monday that will happen and news outlets notified.

I previously wrote a negative review regarding service on my safe step tub however the review was correct at the time the issue was finally fixed on yesterday. It did take numerous phone call to the service department and waiting nearly 3 months to get the tub fixed but after speaking with a supervisor yesterday the repairman came out yesterday and took care of the problem. The experience from the start has been short of “satisfactory “. Our credit card down payment was not processed until I made numerous calls, finally after 1 month the payment was processed putting the installation 1 month later than expected. The date of installation, they showed up after 11AM then worked to “complete” the job after 9PM, in the dark! The 2 gents were personable however, we were told the tardiness was due to the warehouse. The electric inspector failed the electric so I called on Wednesday 11/10, still waiting AGAIN to be contacted the correct the issue Updating this post, I still have not heard from SafeStep! I provided my contact info as requested PLUS I called them on the phone TWICE and again spoke with a answering service who picked up Safe Steps' "SERVICE HOTLINE" and both times assured me someone would call me. Needless to say we a extremely frustrated with Safe Steps lack of concern for their clients.

My review is more about the company than the product. Because my wife could no longer safely get into/out of our tub we decided to install a walk-in. SafeStep seemed to meet the need. The sales rep was very convincing in his presentation. However, I didn’t like the hard sell when he suggested that his competitor (Koehler) was going out of the walk-in tub business and that if we signed a contract while he was here, we could save $2,000. While the job was quite expensive (18k), my wife’s needs would be met, so we did. The job was slated for June 1 and so it was done by an experienced installer and her helper. The problem was that during the installation, they managed to cut my bathroom door. They accepted responsibility and said they would make good and replace the door. After many, many phone calls to a variety of SafeStep employees, they said they couldn’t find a door. Our door is a standard contractor’s door (36x80x1 3/8). It is now November and I hired a contractor, who found a replacement to do the job. After submitting my contractor’s estimate, SafeStep finally sent him a check, which took in excess of two weeks to get to him. Moral of the story…if anything is amiss, don’t pay the full amount until you are satisfied.

The installation was clean and neat. The tub looks like it was installed when the home was being built. The installers cleaned up everything when the were finished and completed the install in one day. The Installers named Val and Jesse were excellent and knew their job.

everyone from sales to the contractors were pleasant and helpfull. Work was done on time and with little interuption to my day.

Eric the person that installed my walk in tube was very professional. He did a beautiful job, you would think 🤔 it’s been there all the time. I’m hoping I can convince some of my friends to purchase one. But I am really enjoying my new tub 🛀 with back surgery, knee replacements this is all the Theorphy i need. My husband and I LOVE our new SafeStep Shower Tub! The only negative about it is getting out - we love it a little too much :) Ours salesman, Chris, was so patient and answered all our questions and even fixed the little rattle coming from our freezer! Cameron and Conner, the installers, were awesome. It is truly great to find 2 terrific young men who love their jobs! They were oh so polite and friendly. May God bless them both.
