Gave my Therapist Brian Byerly 6 different chances of appointments. He was late to every one and only successfully appeared for 1 out of 6 interviews. I'll continue to spiral thanks for nothing.

First, I was referred for this service by my doctor, then got email that my insurance changed plan that does not cover it. I tried to contact, received responses from 3 different people, one of them asking not to write them too many messages.There is no way to talk to someone on the phone regarding the insurance. Disappointing, because really liked my therapist. "We always advise patients that it’s a good idea to confirm their benefits and cost estimates directly with their insurance to be aware of any charges not covered by their health plan." I was not advised ny no way: electronically or telephonically, I only had estimate 0 copay when I registered online. I will update my review after my case is resolved in any way.

My first session was mainly intake where I was discouraged from anything other than short answers to checklists to help the therapist “get through his paperwork.” I wanted to be able to get actual therapy, so it was awkward having to basically shut up to help the therapist with his paperwork. I guess it’s an HMO thing. He said he had to “come up with a diagnosis” and I didn’t really know what to say to that. I could have put up with it to see if it would get better later on, but I was charged over $200 after being told my deductible was $0. Never again Rula. I would rather go outside of insurance to a therapist I am able to research before selecting them and at least the cost would be something I agree to upfront.

My former therapist lied about me stating I had multiple no shows and requested to have me reassigned to a new therapist after we had been meeting for about 2 months. All I had done was reschedule my appointments due to conflicts in my schedule with work. When I informed Rula and filed a complaint, nothing was done other than continuously offering me a new therapist. I was given no follow up information as to how the situation was handled I had to reach out for an update, just to be asked once again if I wanted to reschedule with a new therapist. Lots of unprofessionalism at hand with this company and I won’t be returning as a client.

I tried making a first time appointment multiple times and all 6 times they were canceled hours before. I finally had a first visit with a therapist, we set second appointments and again, she just canceled an hour before with no explanation. I called customer service and they told me therapist canceled and said, “patient was unable to make it.” I told them not and customer service said they would call and figure it out but never has. It’s exhausting to deal with this company.

Awful experience. Followed all the instructions required on Rulas website before my first appointment, which included typing in my insurance information, as well as uploading pictures of proof of insurance. Rula failed to bill my insurance, and instead decided to take hundreds of dollars directly out of my account instead. They have taken almost two weeks to even begin correcting their mistake, and they have told me to expect to wait 7-30 or more days while they have my insurance process the claim. As a mental health care company they need to do way better. Tying up peoples money for almost a month can have devastating financial consequences that may send people further into depression and despair. I am only staying with them because it’s my only option to keep my current Therapist. In the future, I will not use a company that pulls money directly from my bank. Medical bills should be exactly that … bills. So that when these errors occur there’s much less devastation to the people involved. Rula is just a rebranded failed company trying to clean up their image, but not do the work required to make that happen.

I’ve emailed you twice about being stood up and you still never responded. I’ve worked it out with my therapist but YOU are the ones that have failed to respond to emails. Yet, you keep emailing me asking for a review.

I had done my my son's personal info in wrong way and they needed me to correct it. Instead of sending what I needed to do they just kept sending me to different offices. It wasn't until the last notice that someone told me what to do. Plus my son did not like how Stephanie did not engage with him.
