All My appointments were getting cancelled by Rula. After finally getting in touch with The agent, they said it’s because my insurance is not accepted by Rula- which is FALSE. I have a platinum PPO so even out of network providers are at least partially covered.Rula’s automated system that cancels appointments the day of, or day before your session combined with agents in call centers from other countries that don’t know what they’re talking about is a nightmare. Especially for people who are dealing with mental health challenges and desperate to find support. Just awful.

I called in because after filling out the intake form I received an error. I wanted to make sure the form went through before filling it out again. I was transferred 4 times, the second guy talked over me and accused me of saying he’s not doing his job (I never said that at all) the customer service is HORRENDOUS, some of the reps should be in therapy themselves. Even after the 4 transfers no one could answer the question about whether the intake form was even received and now I’m so frustrated with the way the company operates that I don’t even want to bother with them. I’ve now received the same message we’ve all received in response to our reviews, the old copy/paste with no actual intention of resolving the issues. I have now seen reviews from previous months and years which state the same about the customer service experience, nothing has changed in that time and I don’t believe anything will change by providing Rula with more information as they requested. A representative of Rula literally placed me on hold mid sentence and transferred me to another department after I requested a supervisor. No thanks, I don’t need anyone else at Rula triggering me to act out of character. People use this company for assistance with mental health and to find out this company is a huge trigger instead is CRAZY Update: I am now being threatened to provide Rula with more info or my review will be taken down. This is a sad company, please don’t call me, I only provided the information so my review won’t be taken down

It was estimated that each therapy appointment would be around $40 after insurance. Rula also stated they would send me an email with the price before we met with our therapist. We did not get an estimate, and now Rula is trying to charge $130/ appointment.

I tried to request a session and added my insurance. It was supposed to be for a Wednesday morning and on Tuesday afternoon I was informed that my insurance wouldn't be approved. I decided to cancel my appointment which was less than 24 hours away and they said they would charge me a $99 cancellation fee for a $150 session. If there is a wait period for insurance approval, they should make it known it may take a few days for approval and not allow for sessions to be scheduled until approval of insurance with optional free cancellation with unapproved insurance. I will not be paying a cancellation fee when the whole reason I requested the session was because the advertising on approved insurance. False advertising if you ask me.

My provider was a no-show for our first appointment and I was not given any notice or warning. When I called the support line I was told no agents were available and it hung up on me. Then, while still waiting in a zoom for my provider who was over 30 minutes late, I started a chat support where I was given sterile, uncaring answers and they didn't even use my correct name. They called me by the wrong name, and when I corrected them it wasn't acknowledged or addressed in any way. Unprofessional, untrustworthy, and I have yet to see why anyone would trust Rula with something as important as mental health when they have such careless providers and support staff. I have requested a supervisor call me and I hope they can provide me with some context as to why I should use this service, otherwise I will be taking my mental health care to another team.

I sought out ruler with the highest of optimism and have pursued them as an application and therapist resource for 10 months. In that time I have been shuffled around through six practitioners. Half of whom were unprofessional enough to not even show up or connect. Their customer service is clearly through a third-party vendor in another country and although they try their best, there is no connection to professionalism within this website. Two of the LCSW’s I worked with were no-shows after first scheduled session, which was disappointing. They always claimed it was a misunderstanding within the app. Three of the dog practitioners were just completely unprofessional themselves where they disclosed way too much information or just did not have enough experience. After 10 months and so much money invested through insurance and out-of-pocket, I am ready to be done and say this is a totally ill equipped and inept application. finding real doctors with real degree is probably the best path and hoping for a quality in person LCSW in my future.

Therapist are good. Customer support and Billing practices are sub par. I highly recommend taking your bussiness elsewhere. If you use Rula Health. Be sure to cross check your billing statements with your insurance and bank statements.
