The rover app is user friendly , updates are in a timely fashion and the people you connect with for your animal care are professional and caring people. I didn’t have any worries about the care of my animals because I knew they were in good hands. I also liked the meet and greet prior to care dates. At the meet and greet -I knew that all would be ok. Rover is not just for dogs either ! My two kitties had the best care .

Daily text updates when checking on my cat twice daily complete with a pic of her for my comfort & peace of mind. Upon last scheduled visit, I was asked where I’d like my key to be left. Litter boxes, waters, food plates were all cleaned & maintained.

About 95% of sitters don’t respond to booking requests, and of the few who do, nearly all turn out to be unavailable, even though their calendars clearly show those dates as open. It feels like Rover makes no effort to ensure sitters keep their availability accurate. Unfortunately, this isn’t a one-off experience; it happens every single time I use the platform.

The Rover website works great and I like the idea that the sitters are all vetted. I have had excellent sitters that I've found on Rover and highly recommend it. Just do your research and read the reviews for the person you're choosing. They come do a meet and greet so if you're not comfortable after that you can cancel but I've never had to do that because they've all been great.

On our recent visit we were kicked out of the review when trying to give a tip to our sitter. We asked rover team and we were told we could do Venmo. So we did and then an hour later we got a text saying we could get removed from rover.com for doing so . I first asked if we could get set back up in system to send tip and the rover team said no that was not an option but we could send Venmo, cash or PayPal. We are not happy that we were mis informed, and don’t trust rover. Com now

Since I started using Rover.com I don’t worry anymore when I have to leave town. I found a great sitter through them who comes and checks on my pets and feeds them. It has really given me peace of mind! She is honest and reliable and I love that she sends me a notice and photo when she comes so I always know my pets are safe and well cared for!! Thank you Rover for a great service !!

We have mainly been using the same sitter for our Australian Shepherd for nine plus years. Christina is kind and takes great care of our Sunshine. She treats our dog like family.
