Krista and her family welcomed Stella and treated her like one of their own. She seemed happy and well cared-for when we picked her up. Krista was communicative throughout the booking and care experience.

I used Rover about 7 years ago with my previous dog (who has since passed away), and more recently I trusted this app again to leave my new puppy, Eden, with another sitter for 2 weeks while I traveled. When I came back to pick her up, I was shocked. My one-year-old, who had always been a playful troublemaker, was barely moving, only sleeping, and something was clearly wrong. The bed I had sent with her reeked of cigarette smoke so badly that the smell spread into my car when I brought it back. This was after being assured that smoking would not be an issue. Even worse, the carefully packed food I provided for her meals was untouched—3 full days’ worth of food were left over. How was she even being fed properly? Her harness was returned broken, with the buckles damaged to the point of being unusable, and I can’t imagine how they were taking her on walks at all. Toys I sent with her were missing, and not everything was returned. My dog came back smelling like smoke, exhausted, and with damaged belongings. Honestly, I don’t even know what else she might have been exposed to. At this point, I can no longer trust this sitter. Pet owners deserve honesty, transparency, and accountability when entrusting someone with their pets.

Company providing an excellent dog walker for us. If she was not available, there was three more recommended by the company.

My experience was made wonderful with a very excellent sitter. Who provided me pictures daily more than one time a day. I had extreme confidence in her, and if I need her again, I will certainly let Rover know.

I would strongly caution anyone against hiring Cheyenne for pet sitting or house sitting. I returned home to find my senior dog, Mellie, in a terrible state. She had dried feces on her fur that had clearly been there for days, meaning she was not assisted when going to the bathroom despite clear instructions about her arthritis and limited mobility. Cheyenne was away from my home for over 12 hours on multiple days, leaving my dogs without proper care. This is unacceptable, especially given that she was paid to house sit and provide attentive, daily care. The lack of attention and compassion my pets received was appalling. I am deeply disappointed and would never trust her with my pets again. Please think twice before entrusting her with the care of your animals.

⚠️ Warning to Fellow Sitters – “Bunny” the Dog / Profiles: Eric & Gary ⚠️ I want to share my experience to make sure no one else gets caught in the same situation. Back in April 2025, I took in a dog named Bunny through Rover. The booking under Eric was only paid until May 1, 2025, but the stay kept being extended without payment. Every time I tried to rebook, the booking either got canceled or they came back under a different name/profile. Later, I was contacted by someone named Gary, who told me that Eric had supposedly been in a car accident, was in a coma, and then passed away. Despite this story, the bookings kept continuing under new names. As of now, I am still owed $3,500 CAD. I reached out to Rover about this, but no action has been taken so far. 👉 I’ve attached the profiles they used so you can recognize them if they try to contact you. Please be very cautious if you are ever approached by these names or asked to care for Bunny. There is a clear pattern of non-payment and providing false information. Sharing this so that no other sitters have to go through the same experience. Stay safe, everyone. 💙🐾

My puppy is very demanding golden retriever, but he was cared for well. She was great to him during the 1 hour check in scheduled every day.
