Great way to meet dog sitters!

We’ve had two very different experiences. Our first was horrible whereby we met up with a lady & her partner at the local park, within 30 seconds of her Vizsla (2 years old) meeting our Vizsla (7 months at the time), he attacked him quite badly for no apparent reason. He latched on my V’s ear & drew blood. Even after this she still requested to look after our V - I reported this to Rover, I’ve had no updates after being asked for a statement & still to this day she is advertising her V on her profile as friendly with all dogs🤷🏼♀️ That aside our second experience was amazing! She’s a part time veterinary nurse & our V now loves staying with her & her golden retriever ‘Quaver’. I think it really depends on the person, I’m glad I didn’t completely score off Rover, but also glad I took caution with meet ups beforehand & that you need to see how they react with your pets on multiple meet ups prior to the stay/arrangement.

If you love your pets, don’t ever use this company. They mostly just check for felony charges. They’ve killed so many animals and hurt countless others. PLEASE keep your pets safe and find someone you TRUST. DO NOT use Rover. If you do, cameras everywhere and have people momentarily check up on the person if you can. Don’t ever let anyone have full sole access to your babies. Keep these people in check.

We have used a Rover pet sitter to take care of our cat while we've been out of town. There are no such things as kennels for kats and we believe that our cat would be happier in her own place anyway. We've used "Sue" (not her real name) for many years now. She comes in once per day, feeds our cat, gives her some attention, and always sends us a picture. Sue could really sideline in pet photography! But we've never heard any complaints from our cat. Sue has been able to fix things when we've made changes, or have changes made to us by circumstance. We keep coming back to her so she must be doing something right.

Easy to schedule a pet sitter even at the last minute.

Bizarrely this is the only way I can contact Rover to tell them that the password reset function is not working on their website. I cannot log in, and the only way to communicate with them is by logging in. No social media, no phone number, nothing. Daft in the extreme! Dear Rover: how can I solve this problem? Please can you let me know here?
