Pet Sitting Issues - Decdember 22 - 27 2025
During the booking, several care and cleanliness issues occurred. Upon returning home, I found that my dogs had experienced diarrhea, possibly related to incorrect feeding. The dogs were not taken outside in a timely manner, which resulted in diarrhea in the guest bedroom of the finished basement. This was not cleaned. I also found solid feces in other areas of the home, as well as multiple spots where the dogs had urinated. None of these issues were communicated to me, and the areas were left uncleaned. As a result, I had to have rugs professionally cleaned. The Ring camera in the outside basement area was turned off. The sitter did not respond to my initial request to turn it back on and only did so after a second request. The backyard was not cleaned during the stay and was covered with dog waste. Waste was not placed in the garage trash can as instructed. Feeding instructions were not followed. Treats were to be given once per day per dog, but the entire 48-ounce bag was gone upon my return. One dog did not receive the daily probiotic as instructed. The sensitive dog food intended for two dogs did not appear to be used, while most of the dry food for the third dog was consumed. When I returned home, the sitter was not present but arrived shortly after. One dog had been left on the bed while the sitter was away; this dog cannot get down independently and remained on the bed until his return. The kitchen was also left in disarray.
