Booking someone to care for our dogs for a weekend was very easy and convenient

There are things I like about it, like the infrastructure in place for the sitters, pics, etc. I don’t like lack of ability to set different lengths of visits. I wanted one 30 min and another 60. The first time (for four days total) it was set at 8 of the 60min and 8 of the 30min instead of 4 each. Then to get corrected it became 8 of the 30min visits but set at the extended stay, which was the rate of the hour. So I should have just booked twice a day for an hour for the exact same price and gotten longer stays. So that side is a mess. Then we had something come up and we had to cut out stay short by a day. Then we get a cancellation penalty, which would have cost the same as if I just had the sitter come and care for our pets while we were home. So ya, some good things but quite a few broken things that make me question the value.

I don’t work a normal 9 to 5 schedule. My schedule is fluid and I am on call between 12 and 15 hours per day. I do not need a Reminders about when to confirm a sitter for my dog. I also don’t need reminders telling me whether or not I need a sitter in the future. When I go into the app to look for sitters, it is simply because I am anticipating an unpredictable schedule. So kindly, please stop sending me reminders.

I had a sitter not show up and my dogs pissed and shit everywhere. I contacted Rover and they haven’t done anything.

Easy to navigate, felt it was safe, a lot of options to pick from, flexible.

The dog walker was punctual, pleasant, and followed our directions to a T. She has established good rapport with our dog and seemed to be definitely caring about his welfare. She gets top marks,
