We booked a sitter through Rover
We booked a sitter through Rover. Did a meet and greet. Sitter seemed legit. However she insisted on getting paid through venmo rather than Rover. The first night she left the dogs for almost 7 hrs. And then had someone show up to stay with the dogs that we had never met. Leaving a key for someone else to come stay at our house is unacceptable. When we contacted Rover to complain they acted like they had never heard of the sitter that we found on Rover and that even though we had a meet and greet we were in the wrong somehow. They claim that all there sitters are independent contractors to relieve themselves over any liability or responsibility. They are a joke!!!! And obviously don't screen their sitters that well. This particular sitters name is Meghan and seems like she is just 3rd party brokering, collecting money and having someone else do the work. Shady A.F. when people are out of town and worry about their pets the last thing they need to worry about is this kind of bullshit!!
