The Rover app has a terrible UI/UX user…
The Rover app has a terrible UI/UX user interface. it makes it difficult for new boarders to get their first reviews because of the pushy suggestion of a tip. The app is hard to navigate, not intuitive, and focuses more on bookers than the hosts who make the service possible. Their customer support is impossible to get ahold of in chat, and long delays on responding to emails. They are now taking 30% for first time clients which is insane. They falsely accuse sitters of falsifying reviews without asking about the context (neighbors booked and it was flagged as false review). The app needs a lot of work as the uploaded images of the pet get cropped on the profile and you cannot click to expand. overall, this app is very hostile to sitters, which is irrational because the app would not survive without them providing the service they just do the tech app end for, and the app is very buggy. accounts get suspended for trivial reasons, it's almost as if there is no intelligent people handling these issues. rover needs to fix the app, get better customer service, treat their hosts better, or people will continue to go off app and start their own pet sitting business if the unfairness continues.
