After our initial booking with Rover, we highly recommend the platform, the service and the ease of searching for someone to book. It was a very rewarding experience. Good communication with our pet sitter, who was very professional and respectful of our pets and our property. Daily updates back and forth by txt only, with photos and videos of our babies. They are family, after all. The Rover site is very straightforward in use , and you will not be disappointed.

There is nothing against Rover and I recommend to all pet lovers. Reliable service and good information on where you leave your little friend. The low vote is due to the lack of control on the sitters' pricing. A lot of people saw the profitability of the business and are charging sums above acceptable limits. What are you doing with a dog for over £ 90.00 p/day? Rover should set a cap; we have seen sitters doubling their prices after discovering this new "cash cow". Shame on them; you don't love dogs, you are just greedy. Save us the usual phrase: I am not doing for the money, I just love animals...

It was simple and easy to use.

While looking for a pet boarder on rover we almost left our dog with a client which was advertised on their site. Something just didn't feel right with them and I cancelled at the last minute after receiving some alarming information from someone I know. This unlicencensed so called pet boarder has just been convicted in court by the sspca for animal cruelty, caging dogs in her kitchen two or three to a cage with no access to food or water. Some of the dogs had open sores on their legs and covered in urine. I would be very careful about using this site for pet boarding as obviously the people aren't vetted and you just don't know who you are leaving your pet with. I had a lucky escape but am disgusted that these people were allowed to advertise on rover

I have used Rover to book a cat sitter for the last 5 years. The app is easy to use and transparent about costs and fees. Michelle, our cat sitter, has always been communicative and responsible. Booking this service with Rover gives me a peace of mind, although I am sure that my five star rating is mainly due to our sitter’s professionalism!
