A Great solution! We've been trying to figure out the whole pet sitter solution for awhile! Someone recently told us about Rover and we thought we'd try it. I'm now a huge fan. No more worrying that we'll find a trusted care provider when we need one. The experience was great.

The Rover app is easy to use and has good pet care as part of its company culture. Our sitter was very professional and cares about the dogs who stay with her. I only had two small issues: I could not find any place to securely upload my pets' vaccination records, and one prospective sitter replied that pets can only be picked up and dropped off after 9:30 pm. Not only is this a difficult policy, but I would not have even touched base with them if I had seen that at the beginning. I appreciate that there are numerous sitters available, and that there are policies in place to make sure everyone gets along. I also liked that sitter expectations were clear.

I’m a provider. The fees they charge are insane. 20%!!! It’s a needed service but if they charged less you’d have less direct bookings between providers and clients.

For owners, the Rover booking fee is an 11% fee finalized at checkout based on the options and preferences selected for the booking, including dates, number of pets, duration, and any add-ons or discounts. For sitters and walkers, Rover applies a 20% service fee per booking, which means you take home 80% of your earnings. Our fees support 24/7 customer service, trust and safety, site maintenance, and sitter benefits, including payment processing and promotions. They also fund our Rover Guarantee for peace of mind. I've used Rover for several years, and have sadly noticed a significant decline in the quality of the service. The App isn't user friendly- even simple tasks such as adjusting a booking are made complicated for owners and sitters alike. It would benefit from a significant overhaul. The customer support is extremely poor too- good luck dealing with an actual human! You're much more likely to receive a bland AI generated response that fails to address your issue.
