Khine was really good
Khine was really good. She texted me every day and sent me pictures and was very communicative. When I got home, my cats were very happy.

Rover allowed for my family to go on vacation and leave our fur baby in the care of a trusted and reputable sitter. I will most definitely be using Rover moving forward.

I liked the easy way to get connected with sitters. I would say the sitters did there job but still looking for sitters that my dog connects well with. Still searching.

Rover contacted us directly and asked us to take a dog because it was not getting on with another dog. We accepted in good faith based on the description provided and were assured that the dog could be safely accommodated alongside a pre-existing booking we already had scheduled for the following morning. Valeria, the case manager, called us three times before we took the booking. On those calls, she misled us about the dog’s needs and his ability to be safely around other dogs. We later spoke to the dog’s owners, who had been incorrectly told by Rover that we accepted their dog before taking the other booking. In reality, we had informed Rover of our existing booking from the very start. Unfortunately, the dog’s actual care needs and behaviour were significantly different from what we had been told. The dog required near-continuous supervision, would not remain in his crate despite being described as crate-trained, repeatedly soiled our flat, and displayed aggressive behaviour towards us. This left us unable to sleep overnight and created a serious safety concern, particularly because we had another familiar dog due to arrive the following morning. Rover was aware of that booking and had said the arrangement would be fine, but it was clearly not safe or appropriate for the two dogs to be together. Throughout the situation, we ensured the dog was safe, walked, fed, and cared for to the best of our ability. However, his undisclosed needs were simply too much for us and far exceeded the limits we had clearly stated to the case manager before accepting the emergency placement. When we contacted Rover with our urgent safety concerns, their advice was to simply lock the dog in our bathroom to stop him from soiling the flat. Rather than taking responsibility for the situation they had created, they put the onus back on the owners to find someone to collect him. The owners did not have anyone available, leaving them spending a significant part of their holiday frantically trying to find alternative care arrangements. Despite repeatedly contacting Rover, communication was incredibly poor. We were told the matter was being dealt with, but we had to repeatedly demand a clear, urgent collection plan. We were left managing an unsafe and highly stressful situation without timely, practical support. Given this experience, we will not be sitting through Rover again. The service they offer feels dangerous: emergency placements are arranged without accurate behavioural information, compatibility with existing bookings is not properly assessed, and urgent safety concerns are met with shocking advice and delayed action. We would never trust leaving our own pets in care arranged through this app.
