I was most recently taking Mounjaro, however, my most recent A1C was well below my insurance’s threshold. I have since sought Zepbound through RO. My request was immediately addressed and a provider contacted me; after agreeing that I had been without meds for over a month, we agreed to slowly allow a re-acclimation to the medicine. After approval- I received the meds 2 days later. Honestly, the administration of the meds is more challenging than Mounjaro, but I’m confident in the learning curve. My insurance charged me $75/month. Because it worked so well Cigna is prepared to allow me to pay roughly$400/month for the same treatment
