My experience with RISE Research has been incredible. Everyone, including my Program Manager, Mentor and Writing Coach, are so so so helpful. When it comes to helping me improve my paper, they are extremely supportive and prioritize maintaining my personal voice. With this program, I have the opportunity to explore my interests at a deeper level.

At the beginning of RISE, I found the research process quite difficult to understand, especially because I had never worked on a systematic review before. There was a lot of new terminology and methodology that I initially struggled to follow. However, my mentor was really supportive and helped me understand each step and why it was important. As I progressed, I became more comfortable with searching databases, screening papers, and organising my research. Although the process has been challenging, it has helped me become more confident and given me a much better understanding of what conducting real scientific research involves.

The research so far is going great. Mentor is greatly helping me go in the right direction. However, writing coach and review meeting person is repeatedly late to meetings. Overall, the mentor and coach still help me advance, and this process of research is much easier than if I tried to do it myself.

The research mentor, writing coach and the coordinator were very helpful throughout the program. All of them were very responsive and the portal made it very easy to communicate with them. While writing the paper the support provided by RISE was very good.
