Kelly Fletcher, who was Zachary's mentor, did a fantastic job with my son. Zachary raved about how thorough Kelly was about explaining how the research will be done, how to write the paper, and all the necessary steps to create a well thought out paper. Zachary said Kelly deserved 5 stars. Seema, on the other hand, was his writing coach. She was not very helpful. Many times, she was unavailable. Zachary is being very generous to give her 4 stars when he really felt she deserved only 3 stars. The whole program,however, deserved 5 starts.This was his first scientific paper which he thoroughly enjoyed creating and writing.

The programme gave me the opportunity to explore the topic I enjoyed and to share it as a research paper.

The writing coach and mentor I got paired with are very good, and the review meets I have with the director are also good as she ensures that everything goes smoothly.

I liked my experience with rise overall, although there were some parts that could have been improved. For example, the mentor and student connection, especially in my case with Apurva from Cornell was very weak. She barely knew anything about my Research paper, and gave very generic feedback and almost knew nothing about the topic too. Additionally, the lag time between me finishing my changes based on previous the feedback, and the next round of feedback and inputs on the papers was too long and could have been shorter, for a student such as myself, I would like more efficient and quicker feedback. But some positives were the portal, which made scheduling easier, and the fact that there was a program manager, this made communication much easier and more efficient. Also, the number of reviews offered by the writing coach, really helps the student to perfect the research paper, which is a big bonus.

The team was extremely proactive with weekly reminders and regular calls to ensure timely completion of research and quality
