RISE assisted me with the writing and publication process. All staff were supportive and a pleasure to communicate with! My mentor and writing coach were available most of the time and answered all my questions thoroughly and respectfully.

The mentors were really supportive and they adapt to your time constraints very well. I learned proper steps to conduct research without all the stress of doing it alone.

Kelly Fletcher, who was Zachary's mentor, did a fantastic job with my son. Zachary raved about how thorough Kelly was about explaining how the research will be done, how to write the paper, and all the necessary steps to create a well thought out paper. Zachary said Kelly deserved 5 stars. Seema, on the other hand, was his writing coach. She was not very helpful. Many times, she was unavailable. Zachary is being very generous to give her 4 stars when he really felt she deserved only 3 stars. The whole program,however, deserved 5 starts.This was his first scientific paper which he thoroughly enjoyed creating and writing.

The Rise research team was always approachable, they made sure my son was well supported through his research. As a parent, I was comforted knowing he is with expert mentors (both the subject mentor and the writing coach). I think this has been an invaluable experience in my son's academic journey.

Working with RISE has been great, they provide clear guidance and support throughout the process. I really enjoy it, and am grateful for the opportunity to learn so much during the research process.

My research experience in this program has been stellar. The program gives you all the tools necessary to succeed, and makes it easy to understand the process of writing a research paper. My mentor was very helpful in the whole process, often making time out of her own schedule to meet with me.

Hello! The whole program is about 8 weeks long and I felt like initial 2 sessions were not used fruitfully as the mentor didn't seem in sync with my kid and it took a bit of prodding from the coordinator for the mentor to get more involved in helping out/making suggestions on the reading material, giving pointers on what exactly to look for on the treatments for melanoma topic that was picked for high school journal publication. Maybe the session should be 10 weeks long or the mentors need to have very clear idea, agenda when they meetup with kids so that there's no ambiguity on the guidance and the goal of publishing a paper. So, clearly the program could get much much better, as I feel like I've spent a very large sum of money in just 8 weeks! Also, the writing coaches seem to be using AI to help write the papers, which a student could also do by using many available AI tools in the market. I believe the writing coach could have spent some time on giving background, setting expectations of writing journals, so that the student could get a grounding for future research paper publishing. There's still some time left and am hoping as a parent that my kid can come out with a good paper with the help from mentor and the writing coach.
