I used to use Rightstuf more before the worsening USD/GBP exchange rate and skyrocketing shipping costs made them prohibitively expensive. Still, they occasionally have good enough offers that they're the cheapest option. I placed an order for one of those and, a couple of days later, it was cancelled without explanation - only an instruction to call customer service. Being outside of North America, I wasn't going to do that. Instead I used their contact form and opened a case that, I was informed, should have a response within 24 hours. 48 hours later I have no response and still no idea why my order was cancelled. Poor.

You don't realize Rightstuf has extremely crappy customer service until you need them. I purchased BOTH collector's editions of the Haikyu!! series. Season 1's 5th DVD disc had a circular scratch that prevented it from being read by my DVD player. The case to the DVD was also defective as a plastic tab was snapped and it wouldn't stay shut. This is just a factory defect. They happen, I get it. However..... I followed the instructions on the site for getting a return/replacement authorized. They originally got back to me quickly and asked for photos. Not an issue, however their "case" format doesn't allow for photos to be uploaded. So I then just emailed the photos. This was on a Thursday. The following Wednesday I had heard NOTHING from them and noticed they closed my case. I opened another one to get their attention. Finally a response. EXCEPT, I have to PAY to return the entire set just for a defective disc and case. Um...what? Why don't they stand by the items they sell? Wouldn't it be easier to replace the defective parts and include a return label for the bad disc and case? They are still able to write this off to Sentai. Matter of fact I emailed Sentai about the issue and they told me to first try and resolve the issue with Rightstuf. I wish I could go back in time and just order these sets direction from Sentai Films. The prices for the sets are the same and they seemed very friendly and willing to TRY and help. I will NEVER EVER buy from them again. Lesson learnt. People should be aware of this. EDIT: Someone higher up in the chain of command emailed me outta the blue trying to make this situation right. So in the end they did send me the replacement case and disc. I'll still never buy from them, but you know....least they tried?

Use to be a good company. Now I will not order from again. Shipping has always been slow with this company, but after they put a hold on my last order until a repeat of my payment information was given and delaying shipping even further, it was the last straw. I have ordered from them for years. My account information with them has not changed (address/payment), yet they decided to hold this order until I contacted them. They had no problem putting a pending charge on my credit card the same day, but did not notify of any problem with the order until the following day. This would not be as big of an issue, but it is the week before Christmas. I paid for expedite shipping to receive the order before the holiday. Doubt it will be here now due to their bad policies. When speaking to management and voicing my dissatisfaction about the processing of this order and with how their company has become, I felt like I was talking to someone who just did not care to have me as a customer. I received a list of excuses, was told more or less it was my fault, and the only thing I took away from the conversation was a half-hearted apology, this coming from the V.P. of the company. They've grown in size but their customer service has been in decline. This is not the first issue I have had with this company. I can no longer see bringing any business to them and instead will now order elsewhere.
