This place is a joke! Waisted our time, the sales agent spend 3 hours adding up and totalling up everything to come back with a total of $89,000. We live in a semi detached 1,500 square foot house lol what a joke. They lied and said that our sliding doors were custome that the size is off by the builder and quoted 12 thousand a door. The company we did go with confirmed that our sliding doors were infact standard and not custome. We ended up doing all our windows and slider doors for $23,000. The quality was the same and the look we wanted. They only offer financing because they plan to charge you triple what it's really worth!

Misrepresentation
Summary
I hired Renewal by Andersen after a sales rep visited my home on March 21, 2004 and showed a small sample that made the outside view look green. The rep assured me the installed windows would match the sample and reduce heat in my front room. The installed windows were neither green-tinted nor did they reduce the heat as promised.
What happened
• I asked for tinted windows for the kitchen, living room, and sliding glass door; the rep showed a small sample that turned the view green and repeatedly promised the installed product would match.
• After installation there was no green tint; Renewal by Andersen later confirmed they do not sell fully green-tinted windows.
• When I called the company the same day the rep returned and denied ever showing a green sample. Other company reps also told me the green sample did not exist.
• The windows did not darken the view and did not make the front room any cooler in late afternoons.
Company response and resolution
• Renewal by Andersen offered two remedies: apply a green tint coating to my new windows or install darker screens. I chose the darker screens.
• The offered solutions did not match the original assurances and did not resolve the heat problem to the degree promised.
Impact
• My front room remains uncomfortably hot in the late afternoon.
• I spent significant time contacting the company, hosting multiple reps, and visiting the main office to pursue the issue.
• The sales promises were inconsistent with the product delivered and multiple reps denied showing the sample I was shown.
Recommendation
Do not rely solely on verbal assurances from Renewal by Andersen sales reps. Get exact product samples and written confirmation of the installed product and its performance before signing a contract. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Renewal by Andersen for tinted windows.

I wish I had looked at trust pilot…
I wish I had looked at trust pilot before Contracting with Renewal By Anderson Columbus. They totally screwed up the installation and had to redo it. They left a mess with over caulking to changing the entire architectural look of the outdoor window casing.. They did come back and redo it but to me when you’re paying the most expensive window price in the industry that never should’ve happened.. then now three months after they installed it, I realized that the quality of their insulated glass although it might be sealed the ceiling material is warped and crooked, and can be seen visibly through the glass on at least three of my window units. They were extremely expensive, but I took a leap of faith because of their wonderful advertising and I got screwed.

0 stars…
Let me start by saying the installation was awesome the guys did a excellent job cleaned up well and walked me through how to open the windows and clean them, Having said that, that was the only good experience I had with Renewal by Anderson. They have zero communication skills, It seems once they got my money they didn’t care anymore. They will say anything to get you to buy the windows and when you try and hold them accountable they say they wouldn’t have said those things. It took me writing a review on the better business bureau for them to finally respond to me and they didn’t even address the issues I had emailed to the customer service rep. I was told what my monthly payments would be but with everything else they lie about I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s way more than what they told me

Stop the harassment
For the past many months, this company keeps calling me, telling me the call is being recorded. I assume this is for solicitation. I have asked them once again to stop calling me as it is teetering on harassment. You are an American company. I buy strictly from Canadian companies!

A complete ripoff scam from top to bottom
These scumbags employ vans to drop off sleazy sales clowns in neighborhoods to target suckers for their overpriced windows with equally sleaze aggressive sales tactics. The lowest of the low. Anyone knows a company that has to resort to such tactics is obviously a fraud and scam. Avoid these crooks like the plague

Not agreeable. Sales must be awesome
There’s no proof their windows etc are better than others. Got a quote. Want new grass storm door. Guy said $7,000 because they just don’t do outside. Needs both replaced. You’d think they would want future customers. I paid that for my first car

Most expensive mistake I’ve ever made
Most expensive mistake I’ve ever made. Terrible product and terrible customer service. I ordered a sliding glass door that was promised to be safe, efficient, and easy. None of those promises have been satisfied. The door was “installed” five weeks ago. Both handles to the door came off within 24 hours. The door was also almost impossible to open and shut because there was so much resistance. There was no “easy glide” experience. I called the company and they assured me someone would come fix the handle. The earliest they could fit me in? Two weeks later. Only after I berated them with calls and texts were they willing to have someone come in 9 days after the handle fell off. Even though I sent pictures, the service man did not have the parts to fix the handle. So he came over, saw the terrible shape of the door, commented how bad it was, then left within 15 minutes because he had to order more parts. That was three weeks ago. The painter came by and noticed how difficult it was to open. He said the installers forgot to level the surface before installing. I called, texted, and emailed the company and their initial response was “I thought we fixed that.” No. Nothing has been fixed. I have no handle and the surface is not level so it’s almost impossible to open and close. It’s an embarrassment to me when people come over. Their terrible execution, lack of communication, and weak product make the sticker price all the more ridiculous. This cost me more than a Rolex but what I got was more akin to a plastic Casio. Except a plastic Casio actually works. The product is terrible and the customer service has no idea what’s going on. I wouldn’t invest in a new product by this company if it was 80% off. They try to show you competitors prices and hail their warranty but I can inform you that I’ve never regretted a purchase more. Stay away from this unresponsive, cheap, dishonest company.
