Remote Year provides the convenience of setting up accommodations for work and living, along with coordinating fun excursions for all to enjoy outside of work. Beyond that, I've made incredible connections and met so many like-minded people that I know I'll see again in my future travels. After a year of COVID, we were all eager to try something new, get out of our work-from-home routine and meet new people. We had just that and made life-changing memories that took us out of our comfort zones. I can't wait to do another RY program. I feel extremely grateful and privileged to have this opportunity and if you are thinking about it, I strongly recommend joining.

While I've been fortunate to have the opportunity to travel solo + with family/friends to a number of countries, traveling to Colombia with Remote Year was definitely one of the most unique experiences I've ever had! Having the chance to immerse yourself in a new country/culture while building friendships with people from across the globe (plus taking advantage of being working remotely!) was amazing. From the included trips to Communa 13 & El Penol/Guatape, paragliding over the Andes, spending a long weekend in Cartagena/Rosario Islands, learning to play Tejo, & all of the impromptu dinners/hangouts made this one of the most memorable months ever. Shoutout to our program/city experience managers who made sure we had a seamless journey in Colombia & made the most of our experience, I would definitely recommend Remote Year/Colombia to my friends!

RY provides the opportunity to work, play and appreciate local culture with a group of like minded individuals but it is so much more than that, I have gone outside my comfort zone, I have laughed like I haven't in years, I have connected with people on the deepest level and made friendships for life. The RY leaders take care of all the details, workspace, accomodations, excursions but so much more than that, they guide you through your RY journey with open hearts , kindness and support. Don't think about it this , just do it, if you are open minded it can truly enrich your life!

Wow, just wow. To anyone wondering can I do this and will I enjoy it? Yes, you can and yes you will. This was such a great opportunity to get to know CDMX and a combination of all the best things about being a tourist while still gaining the local perspective and getting to meet people who also appreciate those things. I've emerged from this program with life lessons on being less judgemental and more comfortable with myself, appreciation for a culture completely different from my own, and gratitude for the things in my life that led me here. I highly recommend this program for anyone looking for any of the things I've mentioned.

Great experience: you get to travel without having to plan/stress about the logistics of it. Programs are well organized and you get a built in community of people to explore with!
