This RY Retreat was just what I didn’t even know I needed. I was expecting nature and a pool and drinks and food. What I got were lifelong friendships, reflective practices and so many new experiences.

Highly recommend. The 1 week Costa Rica retreat provided the perfect amount of activity with downtime- it was the perfect space to gain life perspective. The food, yoga, workshops and staff all exceeded my expectations.

A good balance of organized and hands off. Many planned events to challenge and entertain you but a lot of free time to reflect and decompress. The RY Team is professional, sincere, and experienced team…you will likely befriend them along the way. I highly encourage you to research and plan indecent of the guidance/direction you get. It may avoid the rare pitfalls that bite you. You own your experience. 🙏🏻 ¡Pura Vida!

I love this community so much and echo so many of the reviews below. People keep asking me if it's worth it to sign up for Remote Year. My answer is a resounding "yes." Of course, you can DIY this experience at a cheaper cost, but you won't get a build-in community like this one. That's priceless.

Remote Year = the most incredible experience. It was beyond what was advertised. They were soooo communicative, all the experiences were exciting and worthwhile, and the community was amazing. We were the first group back since COVID, and the team was the most accommodating group we could have ever asked for. All my needs were met right away—even if I had a question or something I needed (a COVID test, a fan, an extra ticket, a plumber), they were immediately right there. The co-working space was awesome. I felt like the people I was surrounded with were my family pretty much right away. 10/10 experience and would 10000% do it again and again.

Cannot recommend them enough, did a one month stay in Medellin and had such an incredible time and met the best people. The RY team worked extra hard to accomodate us with the COVID lockdowns/rules, and the people were all so positive and outgoing. Such a memorable experience!

Participating in a Remote Year program is one of the best decisions I've ever made. The staff is incredibly hard working and did everything in their power to ensure our group had an amazing and fulfilling time in Colombia. The experiences offered were thoughtful and unique. The accommodations were perfect. Don't hesitate to sign up if you are looking for a transformative work-travel experience!
