If you're looking for a way to combine work and travel, Remote Year is definitely worth considering. I recently joined their program for Bali and had an amazing experience. One of the things that made it so special was the sense of community I felt. It was great to be surrounded by like-minded individuals who shared my passion for travel and remote work. The activities planned by Remote Year were also a highlight for me. They struck a good balance between work and play, with plenty of opportunities to explore the local culture and connect with other participants. I particularly enjoyed the group dinners and cultural excursions. Another thing I appreciated about Remote Year was the staff on the ground. They were always available to answer questions or help with any issues that came up, which made me feel more comfortable and secure in a foreign country. Big shoutout to Vita :-) It was great to know that I had someone to turn to if I needed assistance, whether it was related to my work or my personal life. Overall, I would highly recommend Remote Year to anyone who wants to combine work and travel.

Lima was my fourth Remote Year trip, and was the best of all! The city team here is fantastic and the excursion to Huacachina was absolutely magical! The team showed us the best of Peru, including the rainforest and Machu Picchu. I love RY and the people it attracts to travel with them. Completely recommend.

I liked that I could also create an experience for myself on a tour, it was like creating a tour within a tour within my convenience while utilising the resources that remote year had provided and doing additional research if need be. I liked the flexibility, the attitude of the members to try and make right of situations. Overall a great experience. The hotel location was amazing, the view spectacular!

Just got back from a one month trip with Remote Year in Medellín. The city team there was so welcoming and supportive. Truly an amazing city and loved our excursions, especially the night bike tour and arepas and friends. This was my first trip with Remote Year and also really appreciate how connected this global community is.

The absolute best part was meeting the other remoters. I want to prefice that the entire staff was warm and welcoming, however this is my opinion of month one besides that… The first week, the team seemed a bit unorganized (not to dock Maggie by losing her phone). I think I expected more from the host team, felt there was not ample notice on where our living quarters are or the check in process….And maybe a compelling space with natural light. The first day we asked for supplies- which weren’t given to us. This was basic things like dish soap, extra set of sheets (the last week we asked the housekeepers for extra towels just by chance). It seemed like either the hub has a delayed response or the host team just never got back to us unless it went through Maggie herself. The living quarters location was phenomenal. Absolutely loved the roof top and the actual units themselves.

I haven’t gone a trip but I made a $850 deposit. I was unable to go on the trip so I was told it would be a credit. I had to become a healthcare provider for my sister who became disabled so I can not leave for a month. When I tried to book a weekend trip all of a sudden there were all these exclusions that were never previously communicated. Their fees are criminal $600 membership fee! That didn’t exist when I made the deposit. This is a SCAM! If you want a quick pointless way to lose nearly 1k Remote Year is the way to do it. I regret the day I found out about this company.

Everything from the accommodation to the staff, and the crowd of people RY attracted was exceptional. I was able to be present with myself and do my own think, yet also feel connected with a community of people in a new city. Loved this.
