Purchased a Garmin watch for $1350 paid for 2 day shipping on 1/22/23. I bought it for a race on Friday the 27th. After getting three separate emails requesting 1. That I was the purchaser 2. That my address was different than billing because I’m out of town for this race 3rd time was they accidentally under billed me by $13 and needed a card for that amount which they refunded me my shipping cost because they can’t seem to know how to process a order. It’s now Wednesday and my watch is still processing and delivery date is now Sunday. I am a rei member and I’ll never use them again. Get it together and stop running your business like a mom and pop store.

I went on their website and saw they had the bike in stock that I've wanted. It said it could be delivered to the Winter Park store in a week. When the confirmation email arrived however it had a big disclaimer on the delivery date being subject to change. When I opened a chat session with REI customer support, the agent introduced themselves, I explained the problem and that was the last I heard from them. No response was received in the chat window for over an hour before I terminated the chat. I called in via telephone and spoke with customer support. This time the person said they would transfer me. The call was disconnected. I called back in and finally reached someone that informed me they weren't sure when the bike would be available. Keep in mind, they've already taken the money out of my bank account. As of this morning those funds have not been replaced. So if you've got a few thousand to throw away and don't mind being treated like yesterdays' garbage, this would be the place to do business.

Just had a horrible CS experience with their “sales” manager Richard Byrne at their Paramus location refused to let me use a coupon on previous purchase from 2 weeks earlier Although the coupon said nothing about not being able too it, refused to return/ re buy the item. Upset I asked to cancel my new membership he again refused and told me it was impossible and call CS, I wasted more time calling which was done, so he lied…. They say 100% guarantee it seems not, I’ll stick going to campmor never had an issue with them. Typical chain attitude

Great customer service and high quality gear. Prices are so high though, even with sales and member discount.

REI now uses Lasership/ontrac shipping on the West coast in Washington state. Any merchant who uses Lasership does not care about your business. They don't even warn you to give you a choice of another shipper. REI has now lost my business forever as a customer, because I can not trust a company who uses Lasership as their shipper. I would of rather paid $4 extra for USPS.
