I recently had a motorcycle accident while wearing an REI backpack. I was using the backpack to transport some tools I use in plumbing, which I was on my way to do such job. I had a motorcycle accident which broke ribs four through seven collapsed my right lung and had road rash I hit on my side which flipped me to my back packs there's not a mark on it. REI you have some indestructible products I would recommend REI, and their Superior products. Thank you so much for the pain and suffering that's your backpack saved me. When I need realistic answers regarding camping and my hiking excursions, REI has become my go to place. There is always someone knowledgeable to give me the pros and cons and if they don’t have what will work for me they point me in the right direction. Their return policy is simple and beyond reasonable….a year for members. The membership is lifetime.

I visited the 1960 store with my grandson today. His bike had a flat so I called and was told to bring the bike in. We were greeted in the bike department by a gentleman named Peter. Peter was great with my grandson and had the tire repaired in no time. Great service by a very kind man. I will definitely return!

I recently got back into biking. I have my old college bike I want to use(25 years old). I needed a lot of work and they helped me tremendously. It can be pricey, but they go above what they needed to. Rare customer service.👍👏
