I don’t know what to talk about first, I mean the results have been great but I feel like the most important part of this for me personally is the value and convenience. I was diagnosed with lipedema in 2019 so I knew I would need multiple procedures done throughout my life since liposuction is the only treatment. Yet my first attempt with liposuction was with an American doctor who charged me 20k and left my legs and body mangled and deformed. It was horrible, so I learned that the saying you get what you pay for simply wasn’t true. I figured I might as well take a chance and go to tijuana, because if I run the risk of bad results I at least rather pay less to find out. Well, I couldn’t be more pleased. Not only was the cost significantly lower than anything in the states, I was scheduled within a week the first time. This was my second time with dr. Gutierrez in the last year and I called Monday afternoon, she had me in for a consult the next morning and my surgery was on Thursday. They make it as convenient as possible. They do lab work that morning of the surgery, they take care of you in a beautiful, very clean and well staffed facility. The nurses are wonderful, the doctor is knowledgeable and intuitive. The other doctor he works with is amazing and I feel a really close and personal fondness for the every single one of the people who I’ve met through this office. I’ve been impressed both times with how smooth the lipo results were in spite of my previously botched work from the us doctor. And this time I followed the after care instructions and am having no complications and looking better every day!

Thanks to real self , I’ve learned so many pros and cons about every surgery I was interested in and because of that I was able to make informative decisions on with who , I’m truly grateful for this site and the wonderful woman who although not easy, share their very raw and real feelings 🥺💕

I wrote a thoughtful and thorough one star review of my plastic surgeon who ruined my face. My review was approved by Real Self and remained for approx 2 weeks. RS then removed my review and suspended my membership with no notice. I emailed to inquire as to why, they stated I had multiple accounts which is completely and utterly false. I only ever had ONE account with RS and only wrote ONE review. I begged them for weeks to research, asked for the other username(s) they claimed I had and to help me correct the mistake. Instead of working with me to fix this issue they completely ghosted me for weeks and when they finally responded they simply said I had multiple accounts and my review and membership would not be reinstated. I’ve since read RS uses this tactic to remove negative reviews of doctors. I found the doctor on RS who damaged my face and then I was silenced by RS when I tried to help others be informed. Please be aware as I wish I had been to avoid the nightmare I am going through with the awful results of my surgery. It’s a shame bc they do have helpful information but I can no longer trust what’s real and what’s been removed so I cannot recommend trusting this site

I love the concept of this website, but the execution is terrible. This is the clunkiest design of a website ever. It's very hard to just see the overall thumbs up or down review, the ads are totally oddly placed, there is no over arching easy to understand where you are concept of this site. I've been a member for years and have been surprised they haven't done a full overhaul on this site. This site is one of the most poorly tuned and improperly laid out websites ever. Do a study, find the defecits and fix them. You'll get far more advertising dollars if you fix this mess.

Real self should not be promoting Dr that are booked up until the middle of next year.

I like Real self because it helps people to see what others have done and been successful at. What Doctors are good
