This is a review of wheel-lock cord locks. A. I have preferred them since about 1972 since they are one of the most secure, simplest, lightest, and most durable cord lock mechanisms I have ever encountered. B. Application is limited to double cords where the goal is to lock both, such as drawstrings on packs and stuff sacks. C. The only downside is that they are very hard to find. They are not to be found at outfitters or DIY suppliers, forcing DIYers to scavenge them from used-up gear.
