Had Rackspace since 2008 and they were amazing until about two years ago... now it is the absolute worst. If you can get someone in the States, then you are lucky and they solve the issue like the Rackspace support you are familiar with if you have been with the company for a while. If you get someone in India, good luck with that. The team from India is not trained to handle technical support and definitely do not seem to be Linux Engineers. If I could give negative zero stars I would. The amount of stress you will experience if anything goes wrong is off the charts. Rackspace is not worth the money anymore. Been moving servers over to Liquid Web one by one as the contracts expire.

Rackspace quality has severely deteriorated over the last 8+ months. I would highly recommend you avoid their service. We are a reseller and their constant issues have hurt the reputation of our company. Their support quality has gone from expert email administrator to human reading scripts. They constantly are blocking legitimate traffic with no possibility of correcting the issue. We had business critical emails lost. Our customers are frustrated and so are we. Please avoid them for the sake of your business.

After the price increase on my billing, I decided to close out my account. Turns out they charged me for the entire month that took them to close out my account, and disabled me from talking to anyone about my account. Now its under collection, and they wont talk to me about it nor transfer to me to anyone but the first person I call. I have been using them for over 10 years, I am never again using RackSpace nor referring them to anyone ever again.

The email service has been blacklisted by MSN, so it is worthless. They have been trying to fix it for 6+ months.

I dont what to have to teach your support staff what DNS is ( basic technical thing ) every time I call. Since you moved your support it has been awful, it has forced us to move to AWS. i went though, 1st line, 2nd line, linux support, network security team for a basic issue because the only person who know what DNS was didn't speak English well enough to help Who ever made that choice doomed this company.

Exceptionally bad service. was once good, now it's gone from good to bad to exceptionally bad. I've been trying to close this account with Rackspace for over 6 months whilst they kept invoicing me. The customer service staff are unhelpful and none are keen to help, they just tell you to call customer service even though you spoke with them on customer service. And you write a ticket to ask them to help, and they don't even respond in a way that acknowledges they understand what the issue is about. Please don't waste my time ever again. I don't think Rackspace knows anything about customer service these days.

I’ve been a customer with Rackspace for around 15 years - a previously amazing company now absolutely ruined by private equity and cost cutting. Up until 2 years ago I would have wholeheartedly given them a 5 star review - but sadly I can no longer. As a customer who had a £120k/annum spend I feel let down and no longer trust them with my business. Tickets now take weeks to answer - and require constant chasing with an utterly clueless account manager. I’m now onto my third utterly clueless account manager - it appears to be a pre-requisite of employment recently. Dead servers have taken 7+ days to revive - and were only fixed due to me threatening to withhold payment. If you value you data and your sanity - find someone else. Their only recent investment seems to be “solution engineers” who will up-sell a 3 year contract. Then your on your own…

The service ran fine, but when it comes time to actually close out your account, they'll manufacture fake charges to their cloud drive service, and bill you for eternity for $5/mo even though you have no services of any kind with them. When you try to fix the situation and get the account fully cancelled they refuse to do so unless you call in and spend your evening waiting in a hold queue. Stay away from this company, they are unethical.
