Okay now I’m going to give only 2 stars. The reason for this, is after my first review you sent an email attempting to explain your thoughts as to my review and complaints. You also said someone from puppyspot would reach out see if there is anything we could do to improve on our communications. Well once again you have dropped the ball on communications again because I have not heard from puppyspot. Let’s just call a spade a spade! Please don’t contact me anymore with open ended promises and non truths. Just by not contacting us to see how the dogs were adapting to us, tells me once again you care about money more then the pets you sell. The only positive thing I’m going to say to puppyspot is we love our dogs and we are very thankful for them.

Puppy Spot was a disappointing…
Puppy Spot was a disappointing experience. From the first conversation I was not told the correct time frame of puppy delivery. The rush was on to get our money but then silence and a run around on time frame from 7-10 days to 5weeks. Then you have us locked into payment with a heavy cancellation fee. I did get a lovely puppy finally but I then was hounded to get him seen by a vet even after PS extended the time frame, which under these circumstances was challenging. It was done in 3days. I felt this experience was stressful and unfair. As nervous as I was to use an online service, my fears were challenged in many ways. Luckily the pup is an accurate depiction of what I expected. The next time I get a new furry family member I will stay local.

Diana - Welcoming home a new furry family member should be stress-free and we're saddened to learn your experience was any different. We understand during your initial communication with your puppy concierge possible travel dates may have been discussed. These tentative dates are based on when a puppy meets the required weight and age to safely begin travel. The actual travel date for your puppy can not be confirmed until our travel team has scheduled your pup's itinerary with our transportation partner. Please be assured that our team works hard to coordinate with your breeder and our transport partner to get your puppy home as soon as possible. Unfortunately, we have been met with some delays due to the current travel restrictions we are facing, and to that end, we apologize for not better-communicating with you along the way. While it is our policy for you puppy to be seen by your personal vet upon arrival, we understand how difficult it can be to get an appointment at this time and we apologize if you felt rushed. Please know this policy is not only put forth to activate you health guarantee but to also ensure your pup is healthy and happy. You've joined a community when we match you with your puppy and we will continue to be here for you every step of the way!

Beware of PuppySpot
My entire experience with PuppySpot has been terrible and frustrating and extremely upsetting. What they specify on their web site is NOT at all what I experienced. They have one set of criteria for the pup's travel on their site. Watch out!!
I discovered when my pup reached 8 weeks and 2lbs and was ready for travel, that she had to be 5lbs to travel via ground transportation. Or, 3lbs via private charter. Then when she reached the 3lbs, and I was still waiting for them to nail down a set travel date, I was told that she wasn't 3lbs, but 2.13lbs, 3oz short for travel with the private charter. I was told that the private charter travel days were only Sat and Wed. Then when I asked that we move the tentative travel date closer, to travel on Sat, since that was still a whole week for my pup to gain back the lost 3oz, I was then told that travel to my area was only available on Wed., Sat was to another area, not mine.
PuppySpot tells you that they will be with you and updating you all along the way until your pup is with you. NOT TRUE. The App and Website only gave me weekly updates of her age, which I knew. The App had the correct age/date but the website was 4 days off. At 7-8 weeks I had to request updated pics. PuppySpot told me they don't bother the breeder. But that they would make a request on my behalf. WHAT??? I never got regular updates as to how my pup was doing, her progress on weight, how she was eating, etc.
Basically PuppySpot takes a lot of money from you, ALL upfront, even travel expenses. You end up waiting and hoping that they will get your pup to you.
I had no problem waiting for my pup to reach her goals. She was 4 weeks when I bought her. So I understood she had to be 8 weeks and 2lbs to travel, because that is what is specified on their website. But truth be told, there were hidden criterias, misinformation and miscommunications all along the way.
They kept apologizing for the misinformation and miscommunications...for not updating their website, etc. It is now June 1 and I've been waiting for my pup since she was 8 weeks/2lbs on May 26-28th.
I still don't know when I will get my puppy. The last tentative date I was given was June 10th. By then she will be 10 weeks old.
Also, you'd think as your pup is approaching her goals of 8 weeks and 2lbs, the "travel team" would be working on making the travel arrangements, even if it has to be tentative initially. Not so. They don't seem to be working on anything...Certainly NOT in getting travel arrangements in the works ahead of time. Instead, they seem to wait until the 8 weeks/2lbs are right on top of them and THEN they begin looking into travel arrangements. That makes for an even LONGER waiting time to get your pup.
I am very sad. I am very frustrated. I have asked that they start looking at commercial airlines that would fly my pup to my nearest airport.
We'll see what happens next. I am scared that my pup will not be in good condition whenever I do end up getting her. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I have never worked with a 3rd party before. But I fell in love with my pup when I saw her. I have always worked directly with a reputable breeder, which has always been a great experience.
Beware of PuppySpot. I would NEVER, EVER work with them again.

Cheryl - First and foremost, we sincerely apologize for what sounds like a frustrating experience thus far. Welcoming home a furry family member should be a happy, stress-free experience and we're sorry for the confusion and causing unnecessary stress. It has always been PuppySpot's policy to only allow a puppy to leave his or her breeder when they are at least two pounds or 12 weeks-old, whichever came first. This policy was placed pre Covid-19 and the new travel restrictions we are currently facing. These new travel challenges have forced us to change our age and weight requirement based on the method of transportation being used to safely get your puppy home. Although it may take a little longer for your puppy to arrive, please know these changes have been made with your puppy's health and well-being in mind. With all that said, you're right, although our team works hard to communicate these changes to our customers, we should've made sure all channels throughout PuppySpot were up to date and consistent. To that end, we have taken your feedback to heart and are working on the necessary changes to ensure all information is consistent across the board. Since receiving your feedback, our management team has been in touch with you to address your concerns and provide up to date travel details for your puppy. While we are sorry for your frustrating experience thus far we want to assure you we are doing everything in our power puppy to get your puppy home to you safe, happy, and healthy. PuppySpot is a community and we're committed to being here with you until your puppy is home and then throughout your new puppy parent journey!

PuppySpot Experience
Things were very unresponsive in the beginning. Payments were not credited properly, no callbacks, etc. But, it did improve with a lot of patience and persistence. And, we finally got our puppies😁😁

Overall great, but automated customer service could be much better.
The website is great. Calling and speaking with a person to purchase was really good as well. Information after, not so great. I received a text our puppy was going to be on his way (he was coming from out of state) and the date of arrival, but nothing after that. I had to call to confirm he was indeed on his way the day of his travel. Upon purchase, I was asked if we would be willing to drive to a central location to pick up our puppy, and again, by the day of, received no information if we were to pick him up or if he would be brought to our door. No information on who was delivering, just a rough 2 hour delivery window. 30min after the delivery window was over I was calling to get an ETA on our puppy as I'd received no update. By the time PuppySpot got back to me, which was another hour and a half later, I had just received a call from the delivery service. A lovely (that's not sarcastic), air conditioned pet delivery van arrived at our door with our puppy. The delivery man was great as well. Between purchasing our puppy and the random text saying he was on his way, there was very little information. Poor customer service from that stand point but good when I called. Then I realized that when I went to PuppySpot, or into the app, there was updated info. It would have been good to receive an email after my purchase directing me to look regularly in my account for updated info as emails are not automatically generated when new information was posted into my account- which is a feature I just expected and why I wasn't going to the app on my own. That is a standard feature PuppySpot should have. Also, I wasn't aware I had to pay an additional $295 AKC registration/transfer of ownership fee. So that was a bit frustrating. I have recommended PuppySpot to a co-worker but with the caveat they should regularly check the app or website for information if they purchase. Our puppy arrived as promised- shots, healthy, happy- and was clearly well taken care of on the trip.

If you want a stress free experience, look elsewhere
Prior to purchase, the experience was great. I inquired about a pup and almost immediately, I received a phone call and an email. I thought, 'ok, this is a good sign' - even though I was very uneasy about forking over $1,000's to a website I had never heard of and for a pup I had never met. During my initial call with Toni, he told me the pup would be delivered by vehicle within ONE week of when the pup was ready, provided she meets all her milestones. He told me that even with the Covid situation, they were still able to transport and that shouldn't be a concern of mine. He also told me I would receive updates and photos along the way. At the time of purchase, the pup was 5 weeks.
My children have been relentless about getting a dog, and since typical routes of local adoption and/or reputable readers was impossible, I paid $3,700 for a lab. I'm now two weeks into purchase. I have heard nothing. There are no new pictures nor updates on the app. Nothing changed. I inquired through the chat feature about pictures and received a canned answer. Mkkk. I inquired about the delivery since I was initially told I would receive travel info the week prior to the pup arriving. Again, received a canned answer about milestones and then it said the pup would be delivered between 8 and TWELVE weeks - those are VERY different time frames. I inquired THREE more times via the chat (which is a joke - chat is supposed to be instant contact). After not hearing back for a day, I sent an email - no response, and then called, but the wait time was ridiculous. Then, I received a chat back (finally) that reads they have to go back to the original phone call and see what the sales person promised. Is this real life? Is THIS your business model?
I understand the pup needs to meet milestones and I would not expect the pup to be delivered if she is not ready. This is not about that. It's about the lack of communication. I have no clue if the pup has met milestones because the app is not updated. I was promised the moon and the stars when I had my credit card in my hand. After it was swiped, all promises faded and Puppyspot disappeared.

The Four Corners of an AGREEMENT AND DISCLAIMER ..........
What you need to know that my Puppyspot agent, Erin, NEVER informed me during the sale, is the agreement and disclaimer that was attached to my after-the-fact sales receipt. The disclaimer basically tells you that Puppyspot bears NO responsibility for anything that may go wrong with your purchase of a puppy. The agreement tells you that they will keep $500.00 of your money if you should choose to cancel the transaction NO MATTER WHAT. I later found out, through the numerous issues I had with the company, that the breeder bears the cost if your puppy should have health issues (as I was told by a puppy manager)! The breeder does the hard work, you don't know what conditions your puppy is living in, while Puppyspot makes a lot of money acting as the middleman. Pretty bad way of purchasing your important addition to the family, and always being in the dark after you are done paying. Save yourself the pain, and go to your local breeder or shelter to get your new baby.
