We love Reggie! PuppySpot was amazing helping us get him here

We love our puppy but once we paid we felt like we were left in the dark about everything! We got conflicting information about when we would receive our puppy, whether he was or was not chipped, etc. we had to request current pictures of our pup after several weeks of hearing nothing! The worst though was that we were led to believe that he would be well taken care of on his journey from the breeder to us. We know we paid more for the pup than we probably needed to but we felt it was worth it if everything we had been led to expect had happened. We purchased him when he was 5 weeks old but he was over 11 weeks old by the time he arrived! When he was delivered he was sitting in an inch of urine and some feces which was hardened onto his fur! It was quite obvious that he had been in the crate for a very long time without being let out. He was quite scared but we couldn’t even cuddle and reassure him until we added to his trauma by bathing him.

Bob - Thank you for your candid feedback. We're happy that your puppy is already so loved. Welcoming home a new furry family member should be a stress-free and joyful experience, we sincerely apologize that you feel we may have failed you at any point as we never want a puppy parent to feel that way, ever! That said, It also saddens us to hear that you were disappointed with how your pup was cared for during his travel home. While we can assure your puppy was well cared for, it is scary for any puppy to not only leave the environment they are used to, but to also travel a long distance to meet their new family, which can cause for accidents to happen. A member of our team has been trying to get in touch with you to learn more about your experience and see where we fell short of your expectations, and we look forward to connecting with you soon. Our relationship began when we matched you with your puppy and despite your frustrating experience, our team will continue to be here as you need us.

Everything was great except for some laps in communication.

This past week, we were supposed to receive our newest family member, Bryce, from PuppySpot. Unfortunately, he never arrived. We’re absolutely heartbroken and think you should know how this came to be. As many of PuppySpot’s reviews indicate, our experience with PuppySpot dramatically worsened as soon as we paid our bill. PuppySpot’s employees became uncommunicative and hard to reach. Oftentimes, they provided zero transparency into Bryce’s delivery information, timing, and the path his travels would take before he got to our home. We expected this behavior based on the reviews we had read before choosing to purchase our puppy, but decided to take the risk because we desperately wanted a dog and the pandemic has made it incredibly difficult to find one that we wanted for our home. What we had no expectation of, however, was what was going to happen to us on the day that our new puppy, Bryce, was supposed to arrive. On the day of his arrival, his flight number and itinerary did not match up with the airport departure/arrival times that had been provided. We were repeatedly told by our Puppy Manager - via email only - to not worry and that everything was being handled by a professional puppy travel team. When the delivery van did finally arrive, the puppy inside the carrier case was not Bryce. In fact, the puppy looked nothing like Bryce. We tried to get on the phone with PuppySpot immediately and their first response, rather than compassion, was to try to saddle us with legal responsibility for the puppy we did not order. After we assured the customer service rep that we would not take ownership of a dog we knew nothing about, we started a very long afternoon of “dropped” phone calls, promised callbacks that never came, unanswered messages, and the ever-returning ploys forcing us to claim this unknown puppy. We were only able to connect with someone when we used a different phone number and threatened legal recourse if PuppySpot kept refusing to take our calls. Once we were able to reach a “higher-level customer service rep”, we were notified that Bryce had been delivered to the wrong family. Upon receiving Bryce, that family immediately signed for ownership and was now refusing to return him to us. We were devastated. We were assured time and time again about the degree of care PuppySpot takes in its deliveries, but we discovered that this mix up was not only possible, but that few precautions had been taken to prevent it. For example, the carrier - My Pet Cab - that delivered our puppy had never even seen a picture of him to confirm they had the right one! Please, please, please never do business with them. Their incentives are only profit-driven and they treated the theft of a misdelivered puppy similar to a lost Amazon package.

We are so in love with our puppy! She is so sweet and healthy and it was a great experience finding her. Just a few things that we think could be improved- 1. If a puppy is “available now,” that doesn’t mean they really “available now.” We bought a puppy that was “available now” but we have to wait 7 weeks to get her because she needed to get all of her vet checks. 2. With the pandemic, travel is delayed. We had further travel delays because of a snow storm which is not something that puppy spot can control, but it was a very difficult process to get any more information from them when I would call. There were very long wait times and there were 3 times that I called and asked for more information and I was told they would call me back within a hour and we wouldn’t hear back for hours. Other than that, we love our pup and are so thankful for her!

I’d like to express gratitude to Paul T. who helped me in the process of adopting our GSD fur baby, Tommo. The process was very streamline and if I had any questions PuppySpot was quick in responding.
